There is no need to panic buy and lock ourselves into an expensive contract with David Villa.

We need to buy someone because we have lost a striking option. We also need to buy someone because the difference between us and united was the purchase of a striker.

And now, more than ever, we need to sign someone like villa because we need a lift.

If we do that & it makes no difference though, it means we have to sell another striker in the summer, if we have targets in mind.

So 31 year old Villa (last 3 seasons 18 goals, 5 goals, 5 goals so far) effectively replaces Tevez, Aguero or Dzeko for next season.

Coming back from a broken leg as well as trying to be the main man in th barca system that operates around messi is not easy.

Who was there last striker to score more than 18 goals in a season... eto'o a good few years ago before they cahnged their system would be my bet.

I think alongside aguero, david villa would be immense.

This he could turn the season into a glory charge, he is fit as a fiddle. Could be our RVP signing

He is the one player I've always wanted to see in a City shirt, over RvP any day of the week!

It's also pretty important to note exactly how well himself and silva understood each other at valencia.

Exactly.

Well if ssn are to he believed, then city have no interest.

Such a pity imo because at least when tevez fucked off and the other two were having a rough patch of sorts, mario stepped in last season.

I hope it's photoshopped as it looks more like Fred Hasslethwaite from Droylesden rather than a Spanish superstar.

That's Trevor Francis, with that little geezer from the Benny Hill show & Peter Andre.

Guy on the right looks like Andy Hinchcliffe, compressed after a freak lift accident. Are Trevor Francis and the little old bald guy from Benny Hill even qualified to look after that kind of shit?
