Garcia has improved considerably in the last 6-7 weeks but it's still too early for me to judge him properly.

Firstly he missed pre-season. Secondly, he picked up an injury after 3 games of playing for us and was out for a month. Thirdly, when he returned he couldn't get in the team as Yaya and Barry were rightly playing central midfield. Fourthly, he has had to adjust to a new league and quicker pace of league in the heart of midfield.

I will begin to judge him by the end of March but at the moment, the signs are encouraging. Also he can play centre back if required.

The comparisons to De Jong are always difficult. I loved De Jong and would have liked us to keep him as would both City and Mancini. However, De Jong rejected the offer of a new contract in the summer of 2011 and his deal was expiring in the summer 2013. We won't know if the reason De Jong rejected the contract was due to not being in first choice XI usurped by Barry, to do with length of contract, money etc. But we chose to get £3.5m for a player who was going to leave for nothing in less than 12 months and so with a heavy heart that was the decision taken. We signed Garcia/Rodwell and we move on.

I thought he was superb tonight. Glad to see he's proving himself so valuable to the team just when we most need it (Kompany/Yaya out).

We've kept six clean sheets in a row now. Javi started five of those games.

Given our chopping and changing at the back, it's fair to say he's played more than a bit part roll in keeping us solid.

Looks as if he could become a Prem cb once he gets used to the organisational side.

He would piss it as a cb for Barca.

He was a centre half when we bought him but he wanted to play DM. Due to injuries and rubbish defenders he was moved backwards temporarily and it was obvious which was his best position.

when marwood will be offered a similar position, even at reasonably lesser Club, just drop me a line, Buddy.
I cannot imagine a more evident evidence to please You, Sir John, and all others evidence oriented boys.... :-)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...
