Have we played more fluently? If we have I'd say it's more down to Silva's return to form if anything.

The opposition needs to be considered too. Watford at home, 10 man Arsenal, Fulham at home ( we weren't all that fluent really ) and Stroke. Yesterday's game aside we haven't really been tested since Yaya's departure and played opposition that didn't park the bus.

I think Milner is the key. We have a lot of slow to medium paced players who struggle to cover ground quickly. Milner's extra desire helps that, wheras Yaya is fucking hopeless in that area.

When City are at their absolute best, Yaya will be in the team though. It's a question of balancing out his weaknessess, & most people at City (& many fans) refuse to admit he has any, so we see them exposed regularly a we don't take any steps to cover for areas he won't cover. It's a big factor in our shitty European performances.

Last season, we were no worse without Yaya than with him; it was all bollocks. So far we haven't missed him at all.

But last season, during the run in, he showed his value & may just do it again if we can keep these red scum in sight.

Pretty much every reply differs. I think we're just digging deeper as a team. No one outstanding just a real good team spirit atm. Hopefully yaya will raise it further when he returns.

Nasri often receives the ball when we're on a counter attack and instead of keeping the pressure on he'll put his foot on the ball and slow us right down.

When Yaya is back we need to push him further forward and leave Garcia/Milner with Barry.

It was similar last time he went and Nigel got a run of games. I think the players out there put more effort in when it comes to getting back and our style is strangely less laboured. I've seen us break at pace more often in the last few games too. Then again, we are the Champions with a very good squad. We should be able to adapt to 1 player going missing.

Yes I agree, Milner had a poor game yesterday, As a team we didnt play particularly well, good job Stoke were so poor.
Silva and Zab shone but elsewhere nothing great. Lots of effort from the likes of Milner and Tevez but the end product lacked quality.
Yaya is world class and a big game player he will shine when we have our biggest games.
In the meantime I hope he wins the ACN.

I think this good run of form started with Yaya in the team namely against United, Newcastle, Reading and Norwich. Since his departure, our form has continued in the same vein with Milner being back to fitness and Garcia showing signs of improvement have resulted in Yaya's absence and Nasri's through suspension have been minimised.

If you look hard enough you can make a point for almost any players being in or out and us playing well.truth be told we just have a very good squad of players who are now learning to slot into positions left by injuries or changes to personnel without it being so apparent for all to see.long may it continue i say Im enjoying being spoilt with some success for once.

the hitting of the form happened just before Yaya left, since then, as usually happens to the great sides, we are imposing our game to every opposition, everywhere almost irrespectively of few changes amongst starters.
I said I did considered yesterday trip to Britannia as very much telling and confirmation of the bold statement above, That's why I took yesterday performance as a massive positive.

I just want to know why yaya is unmovable from our team, he's had some great games, but some right shitters too but never gets subbed.
