The only thing worse than people moaning about the snow is people moaning about people moaning about the snow.

Has anybody checked on Ashton? Not contributed to the thread and havent seen him around since the first few flakes fell from the sky. Wonder if a food parcel needs making up? ;-)

Fucking snow my arse!!! One or two inches max!!! Still people are in a panic. No bread or milk in co op last night yet all main roads are clear and will stay that way.

I feel a bit sorry for the young kids as they being brought up thinking this a major snow! It's not snowed major in this country for well over twenty years. We had drifts that went over your heads as kids yet school never shut once and life just carried on!

Oxberry last night back tracked so fast, on Thursday night she was saying Manchester IS getting 15cm-25cm so major weather warning blah blah i got all excited thinking hot chocolate, mighty ducks, day with my son and wife, wonderful snow day and what happened? Nothing,we got a slight dusting and her response was the system broke up and didnt quite go as we expected that's a good thing though right.

What I want to know is; what does she do for the rest of the day ? I've seen her farting around with fucking cormorants or geese or somefuckers but that was only about 2 days. What about the other 363 ? She just appears for about 3.5 mins with her new frock, comes out with a load of bollocks about the weather then parks on the couch.

Decent legs though.

Good luck mate. I've got a few people flying in but they are grounded in Belfast and Hanover. Not sure if it's their airport or not though.

well the only delays yesterday out of mountainous Switzerland, snow laden , even at our lowly altitude of 690 metres, were those flights to England!

I heard on the news this morning about the shabby organisation that BA is . Too many people doing admin jobs i suspect.

D'ya know, it always makes me chuckle when facebook is awash with "sweden/norway/finland/northern canada etc etc don't experience closed roads/railways and airports over 2 feet of snow, Broken Britain etc etc...."

That's because they've invested hundreds of millions/billions of tax payers money in infrastructure and equipment, because it snows loads there. Can you imagine: "yes, we're doubling your council tax to pay for equipment that will get you to work half an hour earlier on those 2 mornings a year it's a bit snowy". FFS. Britain has a perfectly good system for dealing with this, it's called "a day off".

come off it . it's not expensive to attach 20 snow plough shovels to the front of 20 four wheel drive trucks at london heathrow . Furthermore, it's not like england gets metres of snow at one time.
