Thoughts on City team v Hull?

Postby Mark Garrett » Thu Nov 26, 2009 10:41 pm

I'd rest Barry and put him on the bench, Petrov and Toure are the only one's injured/doubtful and i'd leave Robinho on bench and bring him on in second half.

Will be sold out and a great chance of a win and to extend our unbeaten run.

I'd go with

Zabaleta------Onouha---Lescott---Bridge

SWP----------De Jong---Ireland-----Bellamy

Same as this but I'd give Toure a rest. If he needs it I'd rather it be here than Arsenal or Chelsea.

I think if anything the defence needs more games together, and certainly if we can do the impossible and keep a clean sheet it will be a confidence boost for them. However, if he is carrying a niggle then Ned can deputise.

I would start with Robinho if he is fit, why wait to bring him on? I want Hull destroyed in the first half, same as last year. I want 3 points this week. I have put the run of recent draws down to our blip for the season so i think it's time we started to beat teams convincingly again. If we cannot beat Hull at home then i will start to get a little too worried.

Something like this but Zab at RB and Ireland playing in the center between Tevez and Robson, more of a 4-2-3-1.

I'm with the OP except I think Robinho will play instead of Bellamy or SWP, whoever has the sorer knees. Toure seems to be injured, Barry for a rest.

Therefore:

Given
Zabs Ned Lescott Bridge
SWP/Bellers DeJong Ireland Robson
Ade Tevez

No way on this earth Lescott will be left out unless injured. He's very much a confidence player (unusual in a defender), the more he settles the better he will get and there are signs of that.

Yeah agree, but King Kolo looks to be walking wounded lately. Certainly not wanting him dropped for anything but preservation.
