Seriously, you may as well just say 'from the internet'. Quoting Twitter as a source doesn't mean anything. At least state which person/organisation has said it.

I know. You might as well write "I have a feeling that....". I blame the news media on this. They started this trend because it was easier on their budgets to go on the internet than to actually do actual investigations.

Information from Twitter can be as reliable or unreliable as any other source.

If the tweet is by somebody you have reason to trust then why not treat it as reliable? Of course, if it is from a complete stranger of a knobhead then you would be wise to ignore it.

Either way, I don't think you can make a sweeping statement that anything read on Twitter is not correct.

But you read something on twitter without being any more specific than that is not good. Not good at all.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

I think he's got it completely wrong. Looks like he thinks it was a City fan, unless I've got it wrong.

I think you've got it wrong (unless I have). I think he's saying that Kolarov should have just acknowledge the city fans and then fecked off down the tunnel. A Serb being upset at being taunted with a flag over a dicey era is easy to understand mind.

The incident happened during the warm-ups so if I've not got things wrong, the City fans would still be at the bar mate ;-)

And why would Kolarov even have to mention something to the individual? I cannot see him going across to whoever it was just because he/she had their national flag colours. For me, the only way it could've happened is if the individual(s) in question had something to say/goaded Kolarov prior to him responding.

A strange one that, without the facts, we can only guess what happened.

I wish you would, the spoilers within the spoilers are the dogs. When you open it up for everybody else, save the best for the lounge mate, some things are better not shared.

Exactly. If someone states that a particular newspaper/journalist/footballer etc. has written something on Twitter, then at least we know the source of the info and can judge for ourselves whether it's likely to be true.

Just stating 'from Twitter' doesn't mean anything. As I said above, it's no different from writing 'from the internet'.

No one is saying that something on Twitter can't be correct. But it's difficult take someone's comments seriously if they're just 'from Twitter'.
