Sinclair is totally out of his depth. As is Garcia, tbh (haven't checked the other thread yet..)
Rodwell fine.

We will learn about Europe. Go to bed. Have another drink. Both.

ha ha cant really say anything about sinclair what he played 2 games wtf was the point in buying him you never play him

Sinclair had a good chance tonight for 60-65 minutes and did even less than AJ ever did. Bad buy. off in the summer, if not loaned out in the winter.

He has been given an opportunity to force his way into a top side but doesn't look like he has the right stuff to grasp it unfortunately.

Doubt he would be here if it wasn't for the English, home grown, quota thing. We will probably try Walcott next.

And Walcott will do what Walcott does - impress one game out of ten. I understand he/ we want a fast paced winger for some variation, but they are thin on the ground - we tried for sanchez, then hazard. Perhaps we will have to make one ourselves..

Problem?

What we need it to have a proper backup plan, teams are learning to clog the centre and stop City, against Everton I counted 7 defenders when we were in the final 3rd and not a single one of them was wider than the 18 yard box. We need to start playing that 4-5-1/4-3-3 we were playing last season and pushing Aguero out wide to give him space to run. The 3-5-2 is a novelty, not a proper plan.

Its simple. To last the season, Bert needs to be in contention for the league for the rest of the season, first or second. If we lose a few games over a short period and carry on stuttering he will be toast. In summer he will be toast anyway. The owners wont risk another European shambles, which is what it has been.Ted might be right and Bert will weald the axe to build what he wants.I'm sure he would like to. The problem is he wont be financially backed to do so and many of the players are unsaleable due to high salaries.Imo not many top players would fancy working with him anyway.Would one(three) thing change it? Getting £40 million for Baliotelli and Dzeko and getting a striker good enough to score from scraps perhaps.Yes, that easy(irony). Not a lot wrong with the squad imo(and christ knows there shouldn't be). Most able managers will nail the problems and get us playing.Quite simple. You have to be offensive enough to get behind teams, even if you run a greater risk of giving a goal away.Bert's system is both the source of our success and the reason for our travails, in Europe allied to some basic tactical errors and plain bad luck.

There will be a few big managers kicking around without a job at the end of the season. It all depends on where Mourinho ends up and then the rest of us can pick up the scaps.

I for one do not want to see us sack Mancini if we win the league, if we dont then he is a goner and he can have no complaints.

I honestly would not mind Moyles. He is making noises that suggest he is on the move anyway.

I'd stick with Mancini, too.
Providing that he does remember soonest what Mancini's football is made of and NEVER, EVER, ANYMORE he shall start again City with no chance to boss the midfield.
Failing that, I will welcome any other manager up for the task - very few, all considered - bar the Portuguese Clown.

Stick with Mancini until the end of the season. IMO, it's down to winning the prem or goodbye sadly. I will continue to support him and I'm sure the team will be ready come Sunday

I honestly couldn't give a flying shit about the champions league or Europe in any way shape or form.

The three shit draws without a decent effort on goal against west ham, Chelsea and Everton and a piss poor display against Wigan that took some really dodgy keeping and three efforts at finishing it plus a fucking once in a good 2/3 seasons effort from a fringe player to get the points is what is worrying.

Our strikers really couldn't finish a 10p pack of haribo's at the minute and that is the problem. Dzeko starting is a problem but the fact is balo has scored 1 league goal, aguero hasn't been setting the world on fire by any means and tevez can't do everything on his fucking own. So dzeko has to start and it is clear as day that when he is marked by a fresh defence who are keeping their shape he is useless and about 30% of the player that can come off the bench and score quite easily against a tired defence. But we are stuck with him because aguero and balo have been just as fucking useless when it comes to finishing the chances.

I am also worried that the defensive mess of last night will carry over to the league performances.

But the champions league? Who gives a fuck? I'll take the prem over that 1001 times out of 1000.

I think that the strikers are not the only ones to blame.. .Maybe when they do get a half-chance they dont convert, but....
How many f**ing chances have we created lately? Very few. Not so much because the defences are that good. Its because our attack is slow. SLOW. No pace. We create a little space then pass the ball back and give opponent chance to regroup and set the defence correctly. And again. And again, again, again.... just endless slow passing from one corner flag, then back to the CB's, to the other.
That style of play is gonna cost us. We need to pick up the tempo and utilise our tehnique. Otherwise, they see right through us. Everyone now reads our play.
The most important thing for a forward is speed of thought. Top players read the game.

Mancini has lost the plot there.

I would get rid of of "balla and dzetko" . They haven't played this season so I don't see where the problem is.
