From the clubs official twitter, didn't see it anywhere on here

R.I.P Steve Kay, who set up and maintained the fantastic mcfcstats.com site. The world has lost a True Blue. RT if you love his site.

Not seen any other details but thoughts go out to his family

It is a great site. Sad loss that. Hope someone keeps up his legacy, I'm sure he'd want that.

Aw man that's shit.

Rest in Peace Steve and thoughts out to his family and friends.

A truly fantastic and utterly comprehensive site. Echo Bingo's sentiments that I hope someone carries it on.....Steve had done all the hard work and it would be a tragedy if it lapsed now due to the lack of someone updating it in real time (and I guess developing as and when).

A real loss to the world that Steve has left us

RIP mate....It was and still is a great site. I note that Steve's young fella Ashley helps him with the site. Hopefully he continue the family tradition.

RIP

Probably like me he has been hoping for years to live long enough to see us win the league again one day. Now that we have had the possible opportunity given to us he is sadly taken away.

It is the thing that springs instantly to mind when any blue passes, having been such a staunch supporter through all the bad times being taken just when we are finally delivering the right kind of excitement is cruel. By all accounts Steve was a great guy and obviously blue to the core, from the photo on his site he looked no age at all too. Very sad news

I am told he was also involved with the "Bert Trautmann's Helmet" City fanzine. We should be very grateful for his hard work and dedication, putting that site together must have been a massive labour of love.
A very sad loss to our City family.

I always used that site when writing match previews, to get results from previous seasons and so on. Think I'll dedicate this week's one for Hull to Steve.

Top man, RIP.

Horrible news. Anyone have any idea how old he was?

mcfcstats is absolutely brilliant site. Probably the best stat site around for any club out there.

R.I.P.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
