Similar circumstances to when we went there last year with us unbeaten and top of the league but out of the Champions League and them in "crisis". Hopefully there won't be a repeat of the awful decisions we saw in that game but you never know with Mr Foy.

The players will be well up for this one. They will remember how they ended our unbeaten run last season and will still be smarting from last night.
I'm not expecting anything less than a win with a two goal cushion.
Bobby will play 4 at the back. Yaya, Milner, Silva, Nasri in mid and Tevez and Aguero leading the line.

You may find this interesting as a preview for the game. It also shows how a 3-5-2 should work.

We have a terrible record at Chelsea and they are a good side. Those that think they aren't are deluding themselves. I would be happy to take an away point right now as it is always tough especially with new manager in. Our side, i would go with Hart-Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy- Barry, Milner- Silva, Yaya, Tevez - Aguero. If Vinnie is injured i'd pick Lescott. Nasri on the bench as we need more steel

So who do you lads think we'll play?

I would put in a strong midfield, maybe Barry, Milner, Yaya, Silva and I wouldn't rule out going with just one striker.
I do however have a sneaky feeling Balo will start tomorrow!

From the Beebs preview. The authors first game was aChelsea one, but he doesn't like them much now?
Roberto Mancini could also find himself dumped if Manchester City flop at the Bridge, in Dortmund and in the derby against United in coming weeks.

So, we're not working off an immediate point, we're looking 3 games ahead now!

I prefer the stats, especially Carlos'.

Manchester City

•Roberto Mancini's side are unbeaten in their last 18 Premier League matches, their best top flight run since a 22-game sequence in 1936-37. They are the only team in England's top four divisions who have not lost in the league this season.

•They went 14 games unbeaten from the start of last season - a run which ended with a 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

•Manchester City's 5-0 win against Aston Villa sent the champions to the top of the Premier League table for the first time this season.

•City have the best defence in the top flight, having conceded just 10 league goals so far this season.

•Carlos Tevez has scored six Premier League goals against Chelsea, only Alan Shearer (8) and Thierry Henry (8) have scored more.

•Mario Balotelli is one game away from his is 50th Premier League appearance.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

A win today will not only cement our place at the top of the table, it'll seriously piss off all the mugs in the media. 1-3 to us.

I woke up in August thinking that, & kept telling people on here. If we go to shit this season, rags will have another title & they will walk it.

It's hard to tell exactly what will happen now Rafa is there, though it's hard to imagine a change for the better. If he were to come up with some boring version of Chelsea which wins games 1-0 (& has David Luiz shot), I suppose they could theoretically mount a challenge but I would imagine they will draw too many games even then.

If he puts in a full on Rafa performance today though, we could find it difficult to score. Remember how dull some of the games were v Liverpool ? Di Matteo would have taken us on & we would have got shitloads of scoring chances.

My main worry today is Nasty & Lescott recreating their complete arse of a cb pairing that we saw v Villa in the League Cup. No understanding whatsoever (but Bob was also playing silly buggers tbf).

That's if Vinny is unavailable of course. I suppose he could go for Kolo in place of Lescott, in which case i expect a heavy defeat followed by a resignation.

It's a certainty mate. Being coach at Chelsea is nothing more than being a face for Abramovich. Nothing better than being able to play with your own train set.

I know I shouldn't but when the table is set like it is I seem to get one of those eerie feelings that something will happen to allow Chelsea back in the fight.

We need to watch what we are doing today, no diving in, no silly drag backs, just go out there and play the best game we can. It's a biggie.
