Why choose today? Why not wait until Monday? Did Harry put pressure on by flirting with Ukraine? Did he therefore get Leslie the sack? Will he get the same flak as Bobby Manc?

This article is a pretty good summary of Hughes's career (other than the frankly baffling line, 'You cannot unring bells but you can unring telephones'):

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog ... -spark-qpr

Fulham were upwardly mobile when he decided to quit, and so was his career. He was arrogant and foolish to leave as he did. I bet Mohammed Al-Fayed is sat, with aching ribs, in a puddle of his own piss as we speak.

(Because he's laughing so hard, that is, and not because he's incontinent. He might be, for all I know, but I'm certainly not accusing him of being unable to control when he does and does not go to the toilet.)

Yes, yes and of course not.

He sat there on MOTD, all "butta wouldn't melt in me twitching marrrth" and then stabs Hughes in the back by making sure the Ukraine job that he was never going to take was in the press. QPR ran the risk of missing out on him and potentially being stuck with Hughes so cracked.

QPR should have offered it to RDM. He was doing ok at West Brom, getting them playing nice football and was harshly sacked. The Chelsea job was too big too soon but he proved he can win games , even if he got lucky in some. I'd put him in a similar category to Martinez - plays good football and could be a success if given the chance. Bizarre that he'll probably never better his achievement at Chelsea though

Apparently, negotiations are going slowly as 'Arry's dog is representing him and keeps insisting on being taken to the park for a walk.

According to Daily Mail Hughes was asked to take the team for United even though he would be sacked after.

I await the mass outrage from the media over this tactic

Don't hold your breath.

Everyone in the football world, except possibly a lot of City fans, would appear to absolutely love Spews, for some perverse reason.

Not since he walked out on Fulham they don't.
