Does anybody know what is the timescale to get the away fans away from behind the goal ? I feel strongly about this subject and would like to know the plan. Call me thick or stupid but this was high on the clubs agenda and as far as I know is still planned but I want some info please ? anybody up to speed with this please ?

Excellent point mate. I've been livid about this for years. It should be easy to stick em out the way like they do at the swamp and at Newcastle. We should be making everything count for us at home and splitting our singing section to either side of the away fans like it is now, is fuclin stupid IMO.

At that City fans meeting at the back end of last season Gary Cook did not seem over keen on the idea and seemed to suggest that it would be difficult to do. Not sure if they have to consultate with GMP and the FA. Anyway it really did not seem like it was going to happen anytime soon but I may be wrong. I am in agreement though, move the fuckers to the roof....!!!

When a team brings shit support it looks shite on the telly as well. The main issue though is the splitting of the singing area of the ground, stupid idea in the first place and i've always hated it. But i can see the old bill sticking their oar in about location of the away fans as it is directly near the away fans car park so it is easier to control for them.

The most sensible post on here ever totally agree and would like it doing sooner rather than later. Even though I've moved d from south lower to upper(easier to get served at bar)the atmosphere if the away end was moved would be electric joining south stand to the lively east stand corner

Didn't you know, Hughes is behind dividing the singing section? It's all part of his plan to turn us into an expensive blackburn by matching the atmosphere to the average saturday at ewood park. There will be a drum next mark my words.
Of course, because I've raised this point I will be branded a rag or a WUM.

Where they are now is probably the best place as they get the south stand and east stand going. I dont understand what the problem is.

We got some feedback on this subject at an EC meeting at Eastlands earlier this month from Ian Arnfield who runs the Bredbury Blues.
Ian had attended a couple of meetings on behalf of Kev Parker and reported back that the first option tabled was to move the away support to the side of the East Stand on tiers 1 and 2 (don't know the exact blocks but probobly around 110 & 211).
This was deemed unworkable because of the reluctance of a great many seasoncard holders in these areas to relocate to the South stand.
I understand the next plan was to relocate them in the 3rd tier of the East stand (probobly 309 & 310) but again this was not popular for the same reason.
Ian said that basically the meetings ended in deadlock and without further development of the stadium a solution could not be found.
That's all i can tell you at present but it looks like we're stuck with the arrangements we have at the moment!

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy!

We need the away fans next to the singing section which is obviously the South Stand to generate atmosphere but i'd shift the away fans to the other corner adjoining the West Stand, that way, they'd feel the full force of the singers and they'd be out of camera shot on MOTD & Sky.

I'd like them in the same kind of position they are at the swamp....right in a corner. If it were up to me I'd have them up on one of the third tiers TBH but that's impractical from a policing PoV I'd say and also they could lob shit onto people below so in the corner will do for me.

3rd teir behind the cameras would be the ideal location for them if the away car parking was accessable..
I suppose we could put them on the opposite side and put the coaches on the east car park though, but its getting them down from teir 3 without mingling them with the home fans?

newcastle and man utd have the right idea about away fans, as far away as possible, and i thought the problem was always that we couldn't put them in east stand because it had three tiers. but i realised for the first time on saturday that we were sat underneath liverpool fans at anfield road. now to me that does seem a bit stupid but clearly liverpool must have been doing it for years, so why don't we give them two tiers of the east stand? i can't stress how important this is for the club. i would love it to happen, is there anything pro active we can do now, like contact someone at the club to see where its up to, if at all?

The problem with moving them to the East Stand is people have paid for a touchline view and dont want to go behind the goal personally i like it but not everyone will be happy.City would have to offer incentives like extra loyalty points for moving etc.
Me for example the only place id go is about 15 rows back from whre i currently sit/stand if City told me where i must sit id want my ticket at a lesser price and extra loyalty points because i love it where i am.
