They took a while to do it, he should have been given his marching orders weeks ago.

Hughesless twat. They really have been dreadful considering the amount of players he has signed in his short time at the club.

What now for Hughes? Realistically all things considerd he is hardly going to be a manager in demand.

Devastated. His teams always get stronger after Christmas and I was looking forward to them reaching 9 points come the end of the season.

Who sacks the manager on a Friday? This Tony Fernandes is the biggest money mark in football.

it's 'Arry coming in and saying "well fuck me, i ain't takin over on a Friday to face United at the weekend. Let him do it!"

And of course Fernandes wants to avoid the lame duck scenario which we put Hughes in, and decides it's more sensible to sack him today and let his Tafia minions, who will get the sack Monday, take it on the chin vs the Rags.

Hughes has a way with making clubs and supporters dislike him. Shame he fucked off Fulham, because i think that was about his level and ambition and i think both the ground, Nani statue aside, and the club's fans are worth something, yet he shat upon them. Hubris. He's a fucking man who has no sense of how he's perceived or what he's capable of, and is getting what he deserves.

Amen to that - lost respect for him when he gave his whole "I deserve better than Fulham" exit speech. This is exactly what he deserves, getting found out for his sound-bite (mis)management.

TWITCHING BOLLOX
Harry Redknapp set for QPR talks after Mark Hughes dismissal
QPR will begin negotiations "shortly" with Harry Redknapp about replacing Mark Hughes at Loftus Road, according to the manager's representatives.
Hughes was sacked on Friday and former Tottenham boss Redknapp was quickly made the favourite to take over.
A spokesman for Paul Stretford's Triple S Sports and Entertainment company said: "Contact has been made between QPR and us as Harry Redknapp's representatives.
"Talks will be beginning shortly."
Earlier the 65-year-old said "we'll have to wait and see" whether he is a guest of Rangers at Manchester United on Saturday for the Premier League game between the two clubs.
Redknapp has been out of management for five months after being dismissed from his role at Spurs in June.
He briefly held an advisory role at League One Bournemouth and was named as a possible successor to Oleg Blokhin as Ukraine coach by the country's national federation on Tuesday. Redknapp's agent has recently returned from Ukraine.
QPR are bottom of the Premier League table and are without a win in their opening 12 games.
Four points adrift of 19th place, they are in the same position Tottenham were when Redknapp took charge at White Hart Lane in October 2008.

Redknapp's managerial record
•Tottenham: Oct 2008 - Jun 2012 49.5% win ratio
•Portsmouth: Dec 2005 - Oct 2008 42.5% win ratio
•Southampton: Dec 2004 - Dec 2005 26.5% win ratio
•Portsmouth: Mar 2002- Nov 2004 46.5% win ratio
•West Ham: Aug 1994-May 2001 37% win ratio
•Bournemouth: Oct 1983- Jun 1992 39.39% win ratio

Under his guidance, Spurs narrowly missed out on earning a spot in the Europa League that season with an eighth-place finish, before securing Champions League qualification in the following campaign.
Redknapp was installed as favourite to take over as England coach following Fabio Capello's resignation in February 2012, but was overlooked by the Football Association in favour of Roy Hodgson.
Speculation that he would take the national team role coincided with a slump in Spurs' form and Redknapp was dismissed by Tottenham in the summer after reportedly failing to agree new terms on his contract.
His previous top-flight managerial experience comprises stints at West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton.
Redknapp kept a struggling Portsmouth in the Premier League during his his first spell at Fratton Park and repeated the trick on his return in December 2005, winning the 2008 FA Cup in his final campaign before leaving for Tottenham.
In between his reigns at Portsmouth, he was a controversial appointment at Pompey's south coast rivals Southampton.
Redknapp was unable to avert relegation at the Saints, overseeing the end of their 27-year stay in the top division before resigning with the club unable to mount a challenge at the top of the Championship.
