So, if the events took place last April, six months ago, a few questions

1) How long has Taylor known about this?

2) Why release the story now?

3) If not Taylor, then who else has hung on to the information until now?

Stinks methinks

"That sir, depends on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress"

Why would anyone be so shocked about this ?

The word is 'talk', not agree to sign. I'm sure he 'talked' to the Russians too & is probably 'talking' to AC Milan now. We have been talking to Mourinho, to Ronaldo, God knows who else & will be talking to Pep Guardiola. When Hughes was the manager, does anyone really believe we hadn't been talking to Mancini for fucking ages ?

Gary Cook told the truth about this kind of thing; it's what happens all the time. Cook said he actively looked around for possible replacements for a manager all the time, just in case. Mancini's agent wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't look for back up plans, same as Cook/Khaldoon wouldn't have been doing there's if they hadn't been looking at alternatives to Hughes, in case it went pear shaped. Soriano etc are doing it now, as is David Gill, Abramovic etc.

Bob knows what could happen at City & we know what can happen with managers. Both sides will be 'talking' to people all the time, just in case. You don't just do this stuff out of the blue; you have backup options.

Same with players. We were talking to Garcia for months in spite of trying to sign De Rossi.

Naivity and insults from the disco man again. What feckin fairyland do you inhabit mate? Has it not dawned on you that Mancini is a professional inhabiting a tank full of piranas. He's not a City fan. He plies his trade anywhere in the world and is open to offers from the highest bidder.Surely you can see that his style is cold detached and methodical. He doesn't do hugs and he will leave us without a backwards glance. What he will say, and he'll be right, is that whilst he was here he massively improved us. But if he fails twice to get us into the second round of the champs league he will be looking round for a job because there are too many out there who the owners will believe could do it better. That is the name of the game by which every manager plays and mancini is no different. But I agree that primary school isn't a bit like that.

It's just bargaining & looking after himself. He hasn't done anything wrong.

And it got him a five year deal, so if they fire him next season, he gets a huge payoff. Who can blame him in this day & age ?

As if any of the players are any different.

First rule of contract negotiations with your current employer. Make sure you have leverage

So PL trophy in bag. Check

Offer from other club(s) for obscene amount of money. Check

Result. 5 year contract circa £35m

Not sure what I am meant to be shocked or surprised about here but the revelation that Mancini and his agent are not fucking stupid is up there with the toilet habits of bears in woods and the Pope embracing Catholicism

Funny how this comes out just after Marwood is demoted...
VIVA EL CITIES

"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee ... has banned Mr Joseph S. Blatter ... for eight years and Mr Michel Platini ... for eight years from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) on a national and international level. The bans come into force immediately." - 21/12/2015

Mancini is taking the piss there for me. De Jong was umming and arring so we sold him for small change to us, a no need to sell him, at the same time he was talking a to a few clubs. I can se why his message has failed to hit the spot with the players early doors. It might also be a bullet in the chamber for him with our new direction.

Just seen Bobbys press conference on SSN .

Fair play to him ...... only 8 or 9 clubs interested in him he says , cant blame them really because he is one of the best in the buisness .

Monaco a second tier french outfit with the same attendences as Barnsley set there sights a bit high then pmsl and hardly a "massive" news story . Hopefully this will the last of such dross journalism for a few days at least !

frankly, i don't care if he did. its smart business....and this is a business after all. why not sure up a back up plan in case you get sacked? sounds smart to me. he didn't leave. he didn't wave it in people's faces. in no way was he offensive so i just don't care. good for him though.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
