We played a good game and probebly deserved all 3!! Gutted that we conceded straight after our goal, We cant defend for toffee half the time. Tevez was much better when he came on. He wasnt running like a headless chicken and helped set one of the goals up!

Well I feel sorry for your girlfriends who's partner aspires to medicority.

Iv got a fuck buddy whos a scouse fan and shes just rang to say City were very unlucky to not get the win.
Edge m8..I can understand you are fucked off with throwing the 3 points away but we are a better, more positive team now..Do you know we have scored only 1 goal at anfield since since 2004? We bagged a brace today and were by far the better team in the 2nd half..I see alot of balls from our squad..In the past going behind to the pool we would just lie down and die. Keep smilin tuff guy :-)

Do you think this improvement is down to Hughes or quarter of a billion spent?

What a funny place this is. Shawzy states that I shouldn't worry because we are a better and more positive team now.

I ask the question is this due to Hughes or quarter of a billion pound spent.

He then replies and says I am unappreciative of time to gel a team. What the hell has that got to do with my question? In direct response to Shawzy saying we're better now, I ask him is it Hughes or the Sheikh that's got the improvement. I know which one I'd pick.

What I couldn't stand in the first half was the needless hoofing up the pitch, Ade can't get them all. Second half was much better and when we play, we play very well. The problem is, we only seem to play like that in short spells and it was the same in the Burnley, Fulham and Arsenal games; just wish we could do that for the full 90, but eh, it's nice to see anyway.

Personally, I'm happy with the score. A score draw away to the likes of Liverpool is very good in my opinion, regardless of their form. They have a good squad who have played together far more than ours and when we took the lead, I thought we could go on and win it. But as they say, you've got to concentrate after scoring, but once again we didn't.

PS. The Tevez introduction changed the match, and from 1-0 down, he took it to them, well done Carlos!

Can I just ask, out of Liverpool's team today apart from the obvious choice of Gerrard who else would you take from Liverpool's team to put in ours if you could?

To be honest, not many as individuals, however as a team I'd probably swap the lot if I didn't know that our's were going to get better over the course of the season.

So you know we're changing manager then? Great!

Beefy, completely agree with you. A point at Anfield is always a good result - they've only lost 2 league games there in the past 3 yrs. And yes at the moment, as a unit we are not where we'd like to be but we were never going to be - there are important partnerships in the team that need developing. Toure-Lescott and Tevez-Adebayor are a case in point.

If this is going to be our indifferent patch of the season then i'll take the 6 draws - 3 of them have been good points on the road at Villa, Wigan and Liverpool. A win next week at home to Hull and we'll be getting onto only 1 defeat 13 games and when was the last time we had that sort of run! We are progressing and will only improve.

Finally, think that Barry needs resting on the bench next saturday and play De Jong and Ireland in centre with Tevez on the pitch aswell - a good switch by Hughes and helped our improvement going forward in the second half

The biggest criticism I have of Hughes is selling Dunne and replacing him with Lescott. A glaring error. But it's what you would have done too...

Lescott is better than Dunne. Having said that, Lescott has been very poor since he joined us.

No he isn't. Yes he has.

I think the clue is our defensive record with Lescott v Dunne this season. And the fact that Villa look pretty bloody good.

Dunne and Touré- 3 games played, no goals conceded.

Dunne out= £6million, Lescott in= £24million. Net spend= £18million.

Result= Touré and Lescott- 10 games played, 16 goals conceded. 2 clean sheets.

Dunne at Villa- 11 games played, 8 goals conceded. 4 clean sheets.

Glaring is right.

Dunnie and Touré looked unstoppable together, absolutely rock solid. I think he was sold on last season's poor form. Certainly looks like a mistake now.

You can't argue with them stats can you? I agree, its looking like a bad move getting rid of Dunnie and its quite clearly a much more insecure back 4 without him.

The one that got away--- again!! Happy with 0-0 at half time although we showed so little. Good to see Ned on in the 2nd half. Lescott played well. I'll write that again. Lescott played well.

Well done Leslie making a proactive move bringing Tevez on. He certainly changed the game. Great to see us sticking to our guns and coming back from a goal down at Anfield. After a slow start we looked good and showed some great scrambling defence.

Boo to Leslie for the long ball and not exploiting Bellamy's pace. It astounds me how people on here just love to apportion blame after a conceded goal. Their second goal came from a lucky deflection. Not a lot you can do about that. I have no problem with us conceding a goal because Ned tried to pass it out of defence. I wish we would do it more so that we can get really really good at it. Because this long ball is really really pissing me off. It's playing to our weakness and I just cannot fathom why we do it.

OK, so on the left we have Bellamy v Carragher. Does that sound like a potential mismatch to anyone???? Fast guy v slow guy. I couldn't believe we didn't make more from it.

Take a point. arrrgh. Dammit. Opportunity lost, but take a point.
