Why do you separate the two? They're the same thing.

very touchy aren't we. But yeah I agree, a 2-2 draw against one of the big 4 away really is reason to sack the manager. Hughes out, internet forum warriors who could do better should always run a club.

The biggest criticism I have of Hughes is selling Dunne and replacing him with Lescott. A glaring error. But it's what you would have done too...

Lescott is better than Dunne. Having said that, Lescott has been very poor since he joined us.

No he isn't. Yes he has.

I think the clue is our defensive record with Lescott v Dunne this season. And the fact that Villa look pretty bloody good.
All we are saying is give Doug a pass.

True. The way I see it is a disappointment because Liverpool were poor and we were sporadic at best.

Obviously you don't as the reason you made your witty comment is because I'm a Hughes outer, so stop twisting facts.

Are you saying I can't discuss the manager in the match thread after a game?

More positives than negatives but we must stop letting in silly goals.
I don’t know about that mate we started with De Jong and Barry in midfield we looked contented with the draw until we went 1-0 down, then we started to play some nice stuff and looked like we were going to steam roller them going 2-1 up then we conceded virtually from the kick off, and then we regressed back in to defensive mode, and ended up lucky taking away a point only because Lucas missed a free header in the last minute.

I don’t think we have been playing to our full potential for weeks we have a great squad capable of beating any of the top 4..

This is my main criticism of Hughes, he doesn’t have us playing like we should be, I honestly believe they were there for the taking today, yet in the first half the team were strolling around like they didn’t give a shit, we only reacted when we went 1-0 down.

Still it was a good point.

But all our frailties are still there, and will be there again next week, and the week after that...

Tbh mate, i don't think Hughes is the right manager for the job either but I am willing to give him till his contract is up to prove me wrong. I could understand after the Burnley game but in a match we've just drawn 2-2 at one of the big 4 to come out and say he should be sacked cause they nearly got a winner to me is the wrong place at the wrong time. I just don't see the point in typing it after every game every time you get a chance, Hughes is here whether you like it or not and constant posting about it, especially after a good result (which I agree could and should of being better) gets you no where. Theres a thread for Hughes opinions and having a go everytime you get a chance in every post just becomes tiresome, your not gonna change anyones mind at this stage he has his supporters, his haters and the likes of me who are doubting but hope he proves us wrong.

I agree with 3/4 of what you say but i still think your a dick the way you go on about hughes. Its not his fault he got lescott and barry who at everton and aston villa were there main men. But lescott and barry have been poor since they came in my opinion. Im not sure if its them struggling to get used to playing with the new players , or if they think they have had done the hard work at villa and everton and are getting there big pay day with city?

I think when onouha came on today he sured up the defense in my opinion , i feel more confident when he is at the back. But that second goal was not onouhas fault! Lescott hesitated and thought ill leave it for onouha which caused the half arsed clearence by onouha.

I really think he needs to drop lescott and barry and play either vinny or onouha with toure. De jong should play alongside ireland Till barry and lescott get used to the surroundings of a big club and start getting stuck in!!

Under normal circumstances, no one in his right mind wud complain about getting a point at Anfield. But considering that this came after 5 draws against a weakend Scouse (no Torres by itself was a blessing) and after going ahead with a well played goal, to get only a draw leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
