Training Friday 20/11

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This has been touched on a few times at OSC meetings and what we've been told regarding anyone other than M.C.F.C. personnel viewing training sessions is that a certain individual is "not keen" on letting this happen!
Maybe this should be in the first thread in the list?

AS MUCH AS WE ALL ENJOY READING WHAT HAPPENS AT TRAINING ECT IM SURE IT DOESNT DO THE TEAM ANY GOOD IF EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT SET PLAYS THEY WERE PRACTISING AND WHO DID WHAT, WHEN AND WHERE ECT....SURELY THAT GIVES OUR NEXT OPPONENTS AN IDEA OF WHAT WE MAY DO ON MATCH DAY?????

MAYBE THE CLUB ARE 100% RIGHT BLOCKING EVERYONE OUT.......

Hmmm, a shrug and open hand gesture from Bowen; not really cricket that is it?

Still it is early doors, I have faith that they'll come up with something - it would be rather snide not to. They don't want to be seen as distancing themselves from the fans, I mean for God's sake, some clubs actively encourage fans to watch them train.

If softly softly doesn't work, a banner would certainly be a top idea, and I reckon Soccer AM would throw whatever weight they have behind it. Just a thought. So yeah, let's go through the reasonable channels, and failing that, resort to media-terrorism. Anyone any other plan B's?

We the proletariat demand representation! GIVE DOUG A BLOODY PASS!

(and that's not quite how I'd phrase a banner, before anyone wonders)

If Hughes doesn't want anyone watching and we win a trophy we'll all hold our hands up but it is another instance where the old family feel of the club is being chipped away.

Doug, do the players still come out to sign autographs/have photos taken etc after certain training sessions? There used to be the old dugouts from Maine Road in the carpark IIRC

The training reports are about the only thing worth reading on the City message boards, but I can understand why City want to take the training behind close doors.

At the training pre season they did do some autograph signings around the fencing when there were quite alot of fans around. On regular training days it doesnt happen with the odd exception.

At the gate there is apparently a sign there telling fans that players will not stop to sign autographs for safety reasons as it gets silly with fans all over the place and cars turning into the site.It doesnt stop it happening though and often fans congregate and pounce on cars that come out. Not every one stops but quite a few do that I have seen.

are you sure that's what it says?
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
