It's a fair point. In his later years he could be a liability, just like Barton was to us. Scum won the league the year after he left. Other midfielders started playing better when they played their own game.

2002 was such a shame. It should have been a high point but it split Irish football. It's only later that many who defended him got alienated. Don't think he has many supporters left by now (but I am prepared to be surprised).
