Excellent performance. We were the better side in the 1st half and waaaay better in the 2nd.
Top performances by Vinnie,Yaya,Milner,Nigel (1st 45 at least) Tevez, and not bad from the rest. Could have been more and maybe the ref migth have sent 2 or 3 more of them off as they were really sailing close.Thought the ref handled it all very well tho.

Felt for Panti but it was a poor mistake.

Nice to blow the cobwebs away - other than a little strengthening in depth at the back I'm happy with that team - De Jong was everywhere (need to get that contract extension sorted out) & thought his passing was pretty good - plus with Mario, Silva, Lescott, Richards all to be pushing for a first eleven start all bodes well

Crikey, Edin played like he was wearing lead boots. He looked ok the other night.

Imo, we have a problem with that system against a decent team. Chelsea were fucking dogshit & look like missing top 4 to me.

There is a gap in front of the defence which a side like Napoli would exploit. Yaya doesn't cover like Barry does & imo, if we play that system, with that kind of lineup, against a proper team, somebody will do to us what Tevez did to them. Hazard would do it if/when he settles. It would be better to have Yaya where Nasri was playing, but then you lose Silva.

It should suit Dzeko & Balotelli though as we had more width, but there is a hole in midfield (possibly Rodwell shaped?)

If you look closely, you can see that Luiz is going bald. Then they'll card him, they'll card the shit out of him! Just you wait!

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Good display in attacking football. We looked so fantastic at times. Nice to get the juices flowing. Not convinced about the 3 at the back bollox.

Clichy is a tasty player isn't he? What a bargain from last summer.

Torres and Hazard were a fucking embarrassment falling over every time someone got near them.

Richards/Rodwell, Lescott/ Kolo & Vinny is a better back 3.

In fact

Hart

Cichy, Micah wingbacks

Jl, Kolo, Rodwell centrebacks

Silva, Barry, AJ midfield.

Balotelli,

Dzeko

Would be a much harder game for that 11 than Chelsea were.
