Tottenham goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has been injured in a motorbike crash in London.
The Italian has been rushed to hospital after suffering injuries described by the police as 'possibly life-changing'.
Cudicini's BMW superbike collided with a Ford Fiesta on Forest Road, Walthamstow at 10.30am on Thursday morning.
Tottenham have confirmed Cudicini fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis in the accident.
A statement on the club's official website said: "Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning.
"The 36-year-old Italian goalkeeper has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff.
"The club will update supporters on Carlo as soon as there is any further information."
A police spokesperson confirmed: "A 36-year-old male suffered injuries described as possibly life-changing and was taken to an East London hospital for further assessment and treatment."
I always thought it was written into footballers contracts that they were not allowed to own bikes. I certainly wouldn't ride one if I was a pro footballer.
