Liverpools squad is indeed wafer thin and lacking in quality to win the title in my opinion. However, they have only lost Arbeloa and Alonso from the squad that pushed the rags all the way last year. I bet these were not the two players who you are insisting form this "two man team". The have also added Glen Johnson who is having a great season and Benayoun is also looking good, were these the two you are on about? Carragher perhaps? No ididn't think so.

Robinho_Is_GOD wrote:PROFESSIONAL in the derby?????....do me a favour, what is so professional about falling asleep 3 times after getting yourself back into the game?, scoring after 89/90mins to make it 3-3, which would have been a great result, considering we were battered in the 2nd half, is it so professional to then go and miss another goal?, irrespective of the referee and his phantom watch we should have been good enough to hold out and keep the ball instead of panicking and booting it to them as quick as we could, so they could attack us again......if anything that performance was the epitome of UN-Proffesionalism if you ask me.

When I talk about being professional, I mean in every aspect, not what it says on their CV before "footballer"

You show me a team that is professional in EVERY ASPECT and I will prove you wrong. If that is what you expect, then off you trot rigsby because that just doesn't happen week in week out. Your problem is you cannot see the positive side of anything, and I mean anything. Try being objective on threads and stick to subject matter as you have so ironically quoted me on another thread. Then maybe you might receive a minuscule bit of respect from people on your opinion, because at the moment it aint worth shit. Therefore, I cant be arsed answering your tripe as its wasting mine and everyone elses time who reads it.

Liverpool last season had Gerrard and Torres for most of it, hence why they pushed the scum all the way, this year they are missing and losing games, playing poorly and failing, yet those you mentioned other than the two new RM players are playing.....as for Johnson, well if you say he is playing well then I will take your word for it, and just ignore most of the comments of Liverpool fans I know out here in Gibraltar who see them play regularly (every week), due to getting Show Sports in bars out here that show all Prem games as they happen live.

Show you a team that is professional in every aspect.......ANY of the sides took command of by Don Fabio Capello (England, since he took over, Madrid, Roma, Milan, Juve....need I go on?), Chelsea under the current encumbant, and also under the Special 1, Inter Milan under Jose Mourinho, Barca under Pep, and also when under the guidence of Rijkaard, Germany at ANY Major tounament.....there are just a few examples.....even Brazil are more professional and resiliant than they have been before.

The difference between ALL THEM SIDES and us, is the manager, the leader, the man who directs the side to play, trains the players to carry out his ideas, makes changes when things are not working, them sides have them aspects done professionally and the players keep concentration levels up, as they know if they drop, so will they be from the next starting line up, under Hughes NOT ONE ASPECT of that has happend since June 2008....how much longer should we wait to see if anything happens in that head of his....on Saturday he just stood there, not having a clue what was going on, came out after the game and said, we were being overrun in the middle and were unable to see the game out, well why didn't he make any changes to negate that fact???....he still had 2 subs left, are you trying to tell me that a REAL WINNER and TOP manager wouldn't have done any different to Hughesless on that afternoon, if you are I suggest you go for a lie down or decide to take up knitting as football obviously isn't meant for you.

I agree, great post.

You're like two peas in a pod you two aren't ya?

Not really, as that infers they share the workload as well. In this little partnership Riggers does all the ranting while Edge quite simply says 'I agree'. Seems someone's getting shafted in that pod, wonder which one it is ;-)

Then we're right, the performances have been fucking woeful recently....it's the happy clappers who are harking on about league position and points from draws. All about the results for them at the moment, I suppose with our performances they are running out of things to cheer about.

But of course if we lose to Arsenal it will all be about a galant performance and ignoring the result. I wonder when the performances match the results whether we will all be ready for suicide or a month long bender.

WW - you had it right in the statement ....." I do not know why I bite....." you can use info / stats etc to prove / suggest anything - it just depends on what you are trying to achieve:

If you want to support CITY - you can comment on how Fulham thrashed Liverpool (only shortly after Liverpool beat the scum) - how Fulham are strong under Hodgeson - clearly a much better and more organised team than the hammers at the moment - you can point to how many teams have come back 3 times at the swamp and how that shows character - etc

If your preference is to run CITY down at every opportunity, you can ........ well just read the posts of the usual dickheads and you will get gist

Re the evangelists who are questioning the locking of that ridiculous thread (remember the RIG thread??) - then I would suggest that a role of a moderator is to act for the good of the forum.

If this site is not to become a bastion for people anti-CITY (which some of the anti-Hughes crowd seem to be) - then moderation is needed - I am sure a poll asking the right question would demonstrate that by a massive majority

This is 'mancityfans.net' - there is a clue in the title - and true fans should be able to debate about CITY without having to wade through the anti-CITY tripe posted by people that add no value - with some probably not even CITY fans - just trolls indulging themselves to the detriment of the site and positive fans

I would not be surprised if some are having fun on RAWK (probably using same / similar monikers) with a plethora of Bennitez out threads

I agree - I am sure Hughes agrees as you can see from the teams he has put out

We are only distracted again because of the usual attacks from the usual sources - and another thread which could have been discussing something really interesting and important to us goes the way of many others

Definitely, we need to win this to get the 34 years monkey off our back, normally this is the easiest Pot to win and right now any Pot will do.

I am not sure that's true, there is every chance we could get the filth and chelski in the semi and final, I think they realise how much we want a pot and are taking this competition a lot more seriously than in previous years.

We lost narrowly to a better Arsenal kids team a few years ago. Realistically, having beaten the first team 4-2 we should be looking to beat this lot. Specially with the likes of Senderos playing!
