WTF is hughes doing releasing players for important internationals, when he could have insisted they go to abu-dhabi, why the fuck have Barry,Lescott SWP and Bridge been allowed to play for england, to try and secure a place in the world cup squad, when City have this high profile friendly to play.

I bet it was a great experience for him but surely the sheik would have preferred his club to come over, show off his stars, win and show his people which PL club they should all support?

Did you post after we beat Barcelona in the Nou Camp, calling for hughes' contract to be extended by ten years? No, of course you didn't, because it was a fucking friendly, just like this was. From a fan's perspective, all I care about is how this trip impacted upon the staff and players- was it a good team building exercise? Did it enable the younger guys to get a sense of what being part of a major set up is all about? I would think so, yes. Above and beyond that it gave match time to players who needed it. If we didn't crack the market, frankly I don't give a fuck and the only people who should are the marketing professionals.
