SHOCKING

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Oh dear
I thought I was too depressed to bother on here today, but, hell, how else can I sublimate my fuckin fury at what happened?
FIRST HALF Couldn't be arsed. Owen Coyle was up and down like a whore's draws whilst MH was no where to be seen. Ade came and went and in my opinion it seemed to depend on whether it was raining or not. SWP had a bad first half but then turned it around.
Oh bollocks.... basically we had more than four players playing woefully at the same time and that can't happen to any team.
I am very concerned about
1. MH and tactics = Petrov on for busy (but inaccurate Tevez). OK maybe. But then to put the left winger on the right and SWP on the left!!??? The width of the team shrank to a size 0. Huge holes down the sides

2. MH and man management = Is he capable of motivating these multi - millionaires? I never saw him bollock anyone during the game the way Coyle did constantly. We started at a crawl and then slowed down. Even with the greatest players in the world they need a kick up the arse now and again.
Adebayor is beginning to worry me. I thought he was a happy and free spirit with his mazy runs and big smile but since the media witchhunt after the Arsenal game he seems to have gone back into his shell. Please God he doesn't turn out to be the expensive luxury that was Rodney Marsh. (admitted in his own book that he cost us the 72 title, and yes I used to sing along with the rest.)

Anyway rant over
Except
I was very impressed with the noise from the Burnley supporters.
I thought the noise we made was pathetic.

Who was in the midfield? We can't play with Ade, Bellamy, Tevez, SWP togheter without someone who cover the defence... Is not Ireland that can do it!
Hughes is absolutely shite, must go home...

Our midfield consisted of 2 England internationals, Last season's player of the year and upto this point the player of this season. I would say that this midfield should be adequate to beat last years play off winners, let alone birmingham, fulham or wigan.

In reality, despite the character we showed to come back so many times at the swamp, the problem with Bellamy and SWP as wingers was there for all to see as United bypassed our midfield time after time, just as Burnley did yesterday. The issue is tactical, not the personell we have available for selection.

This is the thing I struggle to get with lickers is their lack of foresight - fair enough the United game was a glorious defeat, but nonetheless you could glaringly see the tactical ineptitude of Hughes. He has however doggedly stuck to the same plan, and now a couple of months down the line we wonder why we keep shipping stupid fucking goals

The united game 2 months ago showed the fatal flaw regardless of whether it is 1 or 2 dms, the instructions to the midfield unit is clearly flawed.

I can't accept that they can just all play shit at the same time, that is too much coincidence for that to happen with this standard of player.

I am not questioning the value of the midfield players but I can't understand the tactical choise of Hughes in that side of the field!
I'm also wondering if players played shite because the manager put them in a wrong role (Petrov on the right and SWP on the left or the incredible distance between Barry and the forwards) or because training plan is wrong...
Don't forget that we haven't Europe in the mid of the week... players should be rested on sunday.

As for all this bollocks of 'upsetting the team' Chelsea have had loads of different managers over the last few years and have never finished lower than second.

by using Chelsea as your example to make a point you've used the exception to the rule, I guess you want us to forget about the many clubs that keep changing their managers and continue to make a fucking mess of things?

Have you ever thought that the people who keep changing the managers is because the managers they had were shite, hence their bad results?

He showed Lescott making a couple of errors, but Bridge - I know he played badly, but I just nearly kicked the dog after seeing the points on Bridge, as at the game I didnt realise just how bad he was today.

I think Lescott is actually being overly criticised on here today after having just seen the Bridge video.

They in fact showed that Bridge was directly responsible for every goal, the first two due to being out of position (which is why Lescott was over there in the first place), and the 2nd for being a dopey twat and letting the ball just hit him.

Yeah Hansens' analysis was pretty damning and there's no doubt it highlighted things that I missed whilst at the game about his positioning etc. Wonder if we'll see Vince at the back with Toure, and Lescott given a shot at the left back position, may be a good move all round.

DISGRACE.

Exactly Carl. What was Hughes thinking bringing on Petrov for Tevez with us in a winning position. He clearly should of brought on De Jong for the dreadful Barry just to see the game out. Another example of why he's tactically inept. He's turned us into his Blackburn Rovers team of cloggers but we actually don't have the players to play that way. I've just got back but I'm still seething - the sooner that Rag cunt is out of this club the better.

Besides your last bit which is understandable.... I agree.

We were cruising and Hughes changed shit around. Hey Dazby - is that 'pro-active' because we didn't make a change to react to something, we made a change when there was no fucking need to?

HEY HEY HEY, get your own.
