Agreed Spartacus...those blue ones this year were horrid. I really like the new crest...blacked out....I think Umbro will have a good explanation / meaning for this. Is it some sort of anniversary next year where they would want to have the black as paying respect for a tragic event or player we lost? Just a thought.....

No, just a nod back to our history I would expect
Some on here have been clamouring for the club's original colours to feature in the home shirt for some time.

Ahhhhh I see now....thats pretty cool too if thats their reasoning behind it.
I just hope the print is better than this years Away Kit. You could see right through my Aguero name and number which, you know, for 100 bucks after shipping to the states, i wasnt too impressed.

It seems almost everything Umbro has done has been a nod back to a former kit. Including the blue shorts that everyone seems to hate.

It makes sense from a business point of view, I guess, but I really liked all the Umbro designs so far.

I would imagine that Nike has deals with a lot more huge sport retailers than Umbro, which means we will sell more kits and that our brand will get much more exposure.

We are certainly looking seriously at the septic market and Nike are best placed to help that.
