Sunderland may be on the beach, but MON has t had chance to put his stamp on his squad yet. Hopefully some of those players will be playing for their future, which might encourage a bit of effort.

The key is that we keep the pressure on. Assuming we both win the two games before the derby and we win that, the last game will probably mean that if we win and they don't the league is ours.

Ours should be a home banker, but if we don't get an early goal, we'll start to panic more and more. Similarly for them - they should win, but it means nothing. They should have won at west ham years ago and couldn't hit a barn door. Blackburn hit the post about four times against us when we got promoted under Royle. Pressure does funny things to people and we need to make sure we apply it, starting with this weekend. Beat Norwich and make them have to beat Villa. They should, but there's a difference between should and have to.

Dead right.

ONeill will go flat out to beat Utd but whether his players will respond is another question.

Norwich is absolutely key. If we win there then nerves will definitely start to creep in and Villa won't seem such a banker, especially if they don't score early. Just gotta pray that Given has a game like his debut for us!

Lets just concentrate on us winning all of our games. If we do we will win the league.

They have a much better run in, however if we win at Norwich and the results go against Villa on Saturday they could be right in it. Though the best they can hope for is a 0-0. Awful team.

Swansea are the sort of side that could cause them problems. They will definetely have a go. Norwich should have beat them at OT this year having ago. A win at OT makes a season for newly promoted clubs.

MON is not the sort of manager that lets his players mind slip on to the beach. If I was a Sunderland player I would be fighting for my place for next season as they are a club that are going places.

I am 100% confident they will slip up once more between now and the end of the season. They are simply not that good of a side to win all their games.

Guys this is the scum from Stretford, who have, in my opinion, prematurely being celebrating the PL title. I believe everyone who plays the rags from now will want to smash 'em!

If we can can bury the Norfolk fudge packers Saturday 'ol Panda eyes and his mob will feel the pressure. The 'scum' know that, the teams they play will smell it and we'll all be thinking it albeit quietly.

Softly softly catch this red monkey. Shsssh don't speak of this to anyone! CTID

Norwich isn't even the issue for us.

We have an appointment with a certain very good team looking to qualify for the CL AWAY after the derby. That is the problem.

Newcastle will beat us. Nothing to be done about it.

The fact that he was given a last game with one of his favourite teams, who he's been helping for years. He should have been given gifts by Moyes & Dalglish, seeing as he's given their teams so many in his career.

Ferguson confirmed his squad had suffered no fresh injuries for the encounter with Villa, another side managed by one of his former players, Alex McLeish.

The Villa fans have not exactly taken McLeish to their hearts due to his association with bitter rivals Birmingham.

However, Ferguson is delighted with the manner McLeish has handled a tricky situation as he tries to reduce a massive wage bill.

'Alex had a rough first year at the club, not being able to buy players and selling a few,' said Ferguson.

'It makes it difficult if you get injuries and he has had a couple of bad ones in losing (Richard) Dunne and (Darren) Bent, whose goals were a big loss.

'He has a lot of criticism from the fan base at Villa Park but he has handled the whole pressure very well.

'He is a very capable manager and I hope everything is all right for him.'

If they had Bent I'd say they had half a chance but I just can't see where the goals are gonna come from.

Villa have a fair bit of pace in the squad. They should detail some midfield grafter to mug Paul Scholes whenever he gets the ball & hit the rags in their own half, like we did with him and that other plodder Carrick at Wembley.

They have been poor all season really. Bent is someone who might just get on the end of something or finish of a chance. I think of all United's final games Villa are the least likely to take anything but you never know. We just have to hope Given has one of those days.

No team has contributed less to the Premier League this season than Villa. The only positive about their inevitable dry bumming at the Swamp is that they may yet get dragged into the bottom 3.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer
