Tbh I feel really sorry for him it is obvious the bloke is clearly injured limping slightly with scaffolding around his knee and he is nowhere near match fitness, so one has to question the wisdom of Hughes throwing him in to the first team, but he’s the manager and all that and knows what he is doing, its not like he can push Bellamy up front and drop Steve Ireland in to midfield, because that will mean us playing football on the floor.

Seriously though.

Santa looks in a bad way and should be doing a couple of months in the reserves, he shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team, the Premiership is not the place for getting match fitness after a career threatning injury.

If we are relying on him at Christmas we are in trouble in my opinion.

He shouldn't have started on Sunday but you had to find out where he was at sooner or later and unfortunately we all now know he has a way to go yet. You can't tell in training, or even in the reserves (he was ok against Scunny) you have to give him a game in the Prem.

I'm not sure that he will work out well for us, but considering what he has been like just 2 seasons ago and the kind of cash we have available, I still think he was well worth a punt!!

I am currently not part of the medical profession mate but I am fully privvy, as lot of other folk also are, that the lad first had quite serious problems with his other leg for a number of years which prevented full mobilty (hence he's not played much more than 50% of the games he could have) and last year he started to have problems with the leg that was operated on a few months ago. It doesn't take much of a surgeon or even a layman to diagnose that the lad was a million miles away from being able to convince anybody that he would be playing top class footie on a consistant basis within the immediate future and yet I clearly remember Leslie stating on more than one occasion that Crocky would be playing by September.

As I said, I truly want the lad to do well for us but it still fuclin stinks how this transfer went through.

It would be interesting to see what policy the club's insurance company have allocated for him in my oppinion.

Based on his body movement it doesn’t just look like he has fitness issues does it ? He is obviously in some discomfort and unable to move freely as he would like, it might explain the knee support, he is also limping ever so slightly.

I personally think this injury was a lot more serious than we were led to believe

I just hope the lads career is not ruined to feed Hughes over inflated ego, he needs proper rehabilitation to build up his knee gradually, over doing it to early could finish his career off for good, knee injuries take time.

Who is to say he might be a great acquisition, but we won’t see any decent form until next season in my opinion and that’s not his fault.

I know we spent a lot of dough on him but he was bought purely for backup / cover and once fully fit he will a good deputy for Ade. We are City, the richest club in the world, and if we want a team's best player for our subs bench, we are gonna have to fork out wedge for him. end of. Give him time.

Its pathetic that we have to direct such shit at a guy who hasn't even had a chance to get fully match fit and show what he's capable of. I know why it is though, just like with Mark Hughes and Craig Bellamy, people's minds were made up before he ever signed.

Thing is the poor guy has started two games and has one goal and it'll take him another few sub apps to get his match sharpness... thing is, he had to be played against birmingham after scoring but the gamble didn't pay off. He's off the pace, but the abuse he's getting is dispicable considering he hasn't done one thing to warrent the abuse.
