yes, i rather think i have. you stated he has not improved - i showed you he has.
iirc we were in the relegation zone at christmas last year? it is november now and, despite the best efforts of the commercial sector it is not christmas.
simple fact: we are better than at this point last year.
i do not give a fuck how much money we have spent. i can see improvement. we have lost the least amount of games in the prem ffs - we above some of our main rivals this season (spuds, villa, scouse1) and, as much as you would not like to admit it we are above them on merit.
we were always going to have patches of bad form (i must clarify i think the result at villa was a good result) - if people cant see that they are pretty deluded. i am confident we will iron it out.

sorry mate, what was the question?
I never purposefully avoid a question!

Last season you said on many occasions that the league position means shit all until all 38 games are played, now you are hammering it home that we are fourth. I had it all written out, but there are so many of these threads today I dunno where it was. So are we judging prematurely because it backs up your point or were you bullshitting last season?
Colin the King wrote:4 points from a possible 12 is unsatisfactory, particularly when you look at the opposition for each game (Villa excepted). But this is what's keeping me optimistic- the level of unpredictability this season is amazing. Liverpool get embarrassed by mid table sides and then spank the rags, Chelsea lose a couple of away matches and are described by the media as weak defensively, lacking backbone etc. and subsequently win 4-0, 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0. Arsenal come to Eastlands and lose 4-2, they're immediately written off- since then they've been absolutely brilliant. Wigan can go from winning at Villa Park and beating Chelsea to getting trounced by Portsmouth.
There's always been an element of that in the Premier League, and particularly with City, where you can go from the sublime to the ridiculous and back again in no amount of time. I wouldn't be surprised if we did something like lost 0-1 to Hull and then beat Chelsea 4-1, or drew with Burnley and then tore Liverpool to shreds at Anfield.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that rather than setting specific targets on individual games, like '3 points against Burnley, 1 point at Anfield, 3 points against Hull', we should allow the season to ebb and flow and take a broader perspective. There'll always be an initial disappointment when we underperform against weaker sides but if we beat supposedly stronger sides doesn't that balance it out?
If we finish 4th in May having drawn at home with Fulham and lost to Hull will it really matter?

Well it seems strange to moan when we're fourth with a game in hand. I'm not happy with some performances, but I think of it more as a blip or run of indifferent form. It certainly looks foolish from here when I see folk talk about a crisis or hinting that Hughes is proving he is a shite manager.
I'm all for waiting until the end of the season to see where we are, of course I am because that's what counts. however, how come those moaning (you included) that we were in the relegation zone aren't now bigging up the fact we're in fourth with a game in hand, because, like you said, its more yourself and others that like to point out our league position as testiment to how our season is, no?

Feel free to actually answer the question, spin doctor.
