Did you not think we were going to slump at sometime this season? Yes we are playing shit but we are still drawing. The sign of a decent team.

Rather than get frustrated about it I'd rather discuss it like an adult. I think we tried the aerial passes too much and should have tried to beat them with passing. I also think Gazbaz should have been subbed instead of De Jong giving Stevie more license to get forward.

Yes I was tired as fucl at work today but it was worth it.

The future is bright, the future is blue. Now let's sort out the team for Leslie eh?

Short passing wasn't working, which is why we resorting to hoofing, too many players wanting an extra touch on the ball that wasn't there and general poor decision making, the move to replace Barry with Ireland should have come up at half time as I am almost positive that Barry must be playing with a knock after his dramatic dip in form.

Thought that was what he is being paid millions for, not one clueless performance after another.

I wonder if it would have made any difference had Hughes pointed out at half time that there are people in the far east staying up past their bedtime to watch them.

I think you misinterpret what I meant. League positions should only be judged after 38 games, that came from OD last season..and john IIRC. Performances however can be. After the Wes Ham game I even made a thread to talk about how Hughes was starting to convince me, of course since then he has undone it all.

Fourth with a game in hand? I can tell you I wouldn't like to be playing that game in hand tomorrow with the form we are in.

you have to be disappointed that despite having not won our last four games, the manager hasn't changed the midfield. Barry and De Jong don't have much of an understanding, and while SWP and Bellamy are good runners with the ball, they often receive it without knowing what they're going to do, hence running right down to the byline and often into trouoble, it's indecisive. Plus, you leave our best midfielder of last year on the bench the whole time because he looked like he didn't fit the system (fair enough, if the players who replaced him had gone on to win games against mid table teams). Ireland came on yesterday and EVERY TIME even before he got the ball he knew exactly what he was going to do with it, sometimes it might have just been a simple sideways pass, other times it was a bit more offensive, but he was sure of himself and he didn't play one wasteful ball. To me it is clear we need to play a midfield diamond, like chelsea, with barry or de jong at the back and stevie at the head. Please agree with me.
