I was gonna g for Tevez ...

No, Given was MOTM without a doubt. From the outfield player, I thought Tevez was the best.

There where no other alternatives to even consider. Shay where outstanding, the rest of the "team" where individually there but just couldn't get a result vs an opposition running city ragged.

Tevez is an overrated cunt that just keep shooting instead of passing it ,we could of got fucking Gelson to do that all day long if we still had him .

I wish he went by his full moniker of Seamus....it's a belting name

Or just Moose

Either way he just pipped SWP to my vote

Interesting to see SWP mentioned in the context of MotM. Even though many said he was awful I thought he had quite a good game and was probably our biggest threat.Trouble is though when you think about it, yes he did some good work and threaten down the right but somehow his threats just evaporate with that final ball which rarely finds it's target. He works really hard up and down the right and is a great team player but he just has to deliver more quality final balls and goals or assists.

Doug, who exactly did he have to aim at? Without Robbie and Ade who along with Shaun are the most effective at dragging players away and creating openings, he had a bunch of grafters who managed to bunch up Birmingham's defence at every opportunity...oh and Roque Santa Cruz.

I agree Slim he basically had just RSC to aim for and the trouble with SWP is he simply isnt accurate with his crossing. It would be nice with someone to aim for if he actually hit him or at least gave him something to compete for but hitting one of the 2 players in fron of him is a waste of space. If we only have on ein there I don't see why we are hitting and hoping. We should be holding onto the ball , playing it around and looking to create space but then also as you say we don't really have the players ( certainly not yesterday) who are good at that.

Given, Bridge (apart from the way he childishly kicked the ball away) and SWP are the only ones who have earned their wages for this game. If I were the one paying, of course.

Given did well and made two important saves - the tip onto the post was excellent and any penalty save is a top job. We have come to expect such things from him.
