I'm not saying Hughes out, eventhough I think this will be his final season in charge. Let's face it, the system he insist on playing will never get us consistently results on places like this and to get where Sheik is aiming that is a must. He made all the excuses last season and promised to deliver this season. I see individually better players in system Blackburn were using. Absolutely no creativity in the middle of the park. The distances between attack and defence are constantly too long. And now that we got Santa Cruz there, it was clear why he was bought.
I'm sure the usual happy clappers will be here telling what a massive result this was and had it not been ref/Barry Ferguson/ McLEish's dog we would've won.

I hoped we were wrong about Hughes but I'm starting to fear that the original analysis was accurate :O(
Our good start is keeping us up there but can't help feeling we are 4th by default and that we need to see a huge improvement to keep us there.

Overall though, there has to be concern that we are playing this poorly--today we sometimes looked like a Stuart Pearce team--long balls up the middle, easily dealt with. Apart from a few well crafted passes from Tevez, there was no silky passing in evidence.
God bless Shay and keep him healthy..

No need for any big rows over his future. He can have this season and if we still play like this and aren't anywhere near top 4 come may, he will get boot. I'm sure of that.

Was it only me that could see that the non entity that is RSC was limping around the pitch for over an hour, clearly unfit it is glaringly obvious that his knees are totally fcuked,Hughes plays him for nothing more than justifying his sacking of the entire City medical team to secure his signing
Route one football week in week out, it is obvious that the sign of things to come is get the ball lob in to the box for RSC to limp after,Robinho will be gone January with Steven Ireland close behind.
This rag b@stard is going to destroy us.
And whilst I am on a rant what ever this cnuts excuse for being in Spain on the eve off a big match it simply isn’t good enough, he should have been at the team Hotel going over game plans or the fcuking lack of them.
