From reading your reports, I get the idea that this regime seem to do a lot of individual work with players on particular weaknesses of their game. They also seem to focus on particular areas of the team game that they want to develop.
The only other City side I can remember doing this to this extent would be in the 1st Malcolm Allison era.

Am I right in thinking this mate?

Not just weaknesses but key parts of their game. I have seen plenty of work on shooting practice for the likes of Bellers/RSC etc which isn't necessarily a weakness but done on the basis that practice makes perfect and the feeling of striking balls well and beating the keeper you would think would build confidence. I have also seen work done with Micah plenty of times on getting forward and crossing , that one would fit the definition of weakness as also with SWP.

Good to see RSC and Petrov often doing shooting practice with the weak foot , as Stevie often does too.

Just wanted to say that as a huge fan of Malcolm Allison, I find these comments promising. Big Mal, love him or hate him, was way before his time in many important aspects of the game. Tactics(he introduced the term 'breakdown' which is still unknown to most footballfans), traing methods(using methods from athletes and sprinters as well as continental training, building upper body strenght with weight lifting) and nutrition(of obvious importance to a sportsman, but neglected by the game to the 90's. Wenger changed that with his success. But Allison did it first!).

Cheers Doug, hope Ade and Toure will be ok to start the game. And hope Bridge will be alright.

Id far rather we start the game with fit players, not the walking wounded. I know Toure, Bridge, Adebayor, even Lescott are all first choice when fit, but if we play those 4 in the first 11 today, I think we will struggle. I know they have the skill and give us our best 11 on the pitch, but they cannot play to their best if not properly fit.

Therefore it makes more sense to put an 11 on the pitch with a more squady feel, Tell them in the dressing room, this is your chance to make an impression boys, its only fucking Birmingham.
