And yet here are are still around a 1000 seats dotted around the ground with no one sat in them every game.

That's because they still haven't come up with an easy way to get rid. I've always got a spare kids ticket in the family stand for night games but it's too much of a pain for me to have to find a buyer and upgrade it. I'd happily confirm to the club when it's not required so they could resell it. They could give me a couple of quids worth of shop vouchers each time or a discount off next year's ticket.

You can often see groups of 2 or 3 seats empty in all stands. If you're away or ill there's not a lot you can do, unless you know someone who can take them

Dont forget a lot of people walk round to 111/112 and 116/117 and stand with there mates leaving a seat that looks empty

It's only going to get more impossible to get tickets imo if what i saw and heard on my 9 year olds school playing ground last week is any barometer.The kids were staying for after school football coaching and without exaggerating all but 3 wanted to be city players during thier game.I was chuffed to hear them all say i want to be Silva,Aguero,Ballotelli or Hart the other 3 had rag shirts on but were listening intently.

If you had been given the snip at th eage of 13 there would still be loads of seats available

I was just thinking about this and wondered if there are any of you lot who might fancy "sharing" a couple of seasoncards next season.

As I'm going to be back in Europe it's quite likely that we'll be able to get back over for maybe 3-4 games easily next season. I know there are quite a few on here who might be in a similar position so maybe we could put our heads together and come up with something workable. Not just necessarily the overseas people but also those who can't go all that frequently.

If we can work it out I'd be happy in principle to lay out for them and we could then agree who'll take them for what matches and divvy up the appropriate portions of cost. In terms of logistics I'd be happy to leave them in the hands of my Wozza (Sister of Fu) or someone who's at every home game who people could then hook up with to collect as and when needed and then get them back to her post match. (Sorry Woz I'm volunteering you theoretically....but you could take mates too if they were "spare").

Does anyone have any appetite for this kind of idea? I'd propose getting a pair together as that seems more sensible?

Hah thats funny was thinking the exact same thing! Me and CTK were going to do it last year but it never got past the idea stage, id be intrested in it definitely.

Sorry mate, I wasn't really saying that I needed anyone to "invest" as such.

I'd just like to see if between us we could likely utilise 2 seasoncards for the season. If I ultimately ended up paying for them for 50% of the season (for both cards) I wouldn't be that arsed as I'd know I would be guaranteed tickets.

What I'd like to do though is see who would be up for "renting" as you put it and then agree between us who wants which/how many matches so we could all plan the visits over etc etc
