Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Inability to give any credit whatsoever to the opposition is a bit of a mune thing. I don't particularly like it.

I think many fans (maybe even players too) underestimate Fulham, which as we saw yesterday is a bit of a mistake. They qualified for European competition on their league position last season (and I can just about remember how that feels). Who is to say they will not do so again this season? They are not shite by any means. From what I saw of the match I think they did very well indeed especially as it was their third game in six days.

That said, I agree we didn't play as well as we can do and it is slightly disturbing that this is happening a little more regularly than we would like, but I do believe we are going to get better over time.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

you're so right.

I think if we win our game in hand we're three points from the LEADERS. Three points. That means so far we're having a better season than both Liverpool and Arsenal. So we're still in the title race, let alone the race for the top four and some folk are fucking whinging.

Its fucking mind boggling.

If we had of bought Hangeland we would have won.

The Lescott signing is going to hang on Leslies neck for me. (Does that make sense?)

Hangeland was the last piece in the jigsaw but Leslie went for the goal scoring defender. Sorry, but I like my defenders to defend first, score second.

Hangeland will have to do it for a few seasons before I consider him to be a top defender.

Lescott is a very good defender and he'll come good. But its the same thing we've always suffered from... we need to gel as a UNIT at the back. That will only happen with games and while we can all agree that we have been great at the back of late, then in turn we'll have to agree that its satisfying that we've only lost one game whilst being bad at the back.

did you even see the game?

they had a couple of chances other than their goals, which as fish rightly said was down to our players thinking the points were in the bag. other than that we dominated the game.

4 points of our last possible 15.

Gave away 6 points in three matches against Villa, Wigan and Fulham. We are drawing far too many to finish in the top 4.

The odd draw can be excuse for bad decisions, bad luck and bad absences due to injuries etc.. But three in a row against teams outside the top 4 is a disgrace.

A DISGRACE?

So we're out of the race for the top four then. Fuck, I really wanted champion's league.

They had better chances to win the game. I don't think anyone can argue otherwise.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Well I guess one good thing about us being consigned to being a failure is that some of our fans might regain a sense of perspective and start to sound like CITY fans again - some of the stuff I read on here sounds reminiscent of the shallow scum fans on their boards when it is a total disaster if they draw - never any recognition of credit to the opposition.

Can you imagine if we'd lost to Burnley?

Its funny because United are poised as per usual for another title race and if we win our game in hand we right up there with them. Yet we're a disgrace.

Strange.

I think the main differnce between us and the scum right now is they can pull a rabbit out of a hat at the last minute we cant and thats why they are title contenders and we are not. On paper we are almost as strong but without the correct leadership we won't ever be getting those last minute snatches like the scum. I hate them for what they do and how they do it but its why they are champion contenders and we are still falling behind.

So all we need is the Sheik to find us a leader with over 20 years prem experience countless cups and countless titles. Shouldn`t be too difficult.

Thats tosh mate, the difference between us and the scum is they have built that team over many years adding 1 or 2 quality players a year. They have all played together for many years and play as a TEAM that knows each others game inside out. We will have this in time, but you cannot expect it immediately.

Sorry, but where did that come from??? Due to Hughes winnin trophys as a player? We all know that bein a great player means next to fook all when it comes to management.

Did Jose have all that that you have listed? no, infact, he didnt have any... It also didnt take Chelsea years and year to 'build' the side they had when they won the seaon twice in a row after being taken over and are now pullin away and lookin like the best side in the Prem. Yes, they had the foundations of a good side already, but we wasnt all too bad. Its the fact Jose had what it takes to turn a team into seriuos winners. I question whether Hughes has that in him.

'It takes time' I really question if it should take as long as it has taken to get the lads playin good consistant football.
