Flying over for my first live City game in a few hours - if anyone's in there on Saturday, say hello to the young Aussie wearing the Etihad home kit from two seasons back.

Why don't you whack a photo up mate......give people a fighting chance of being able to recognise you (it will be BUSY in there and funnily enough there'll be a few people in the home shirt! ALTERNATIVELY.....get over to the Townley thread on off topic and there are some pics which should enable you to pick people out.
If you see someone in quite a camp outfit that is likely LAHAD and he'll introduce you around. Alternatively....SPIV usually has this helpfully marked on the back of his shirt ;-)

Cheers bud, forgot about the thread in OT, don't tend to look at the stickies. And yeah, I was hoping the Australian bit would stand out more than the old home shirt ;-)
If mods can delete/merge with the other thread, would appreciate.

When I said busy I mean BUSY.....ie. the only people you'll be able to hear clearly are the ones right next to you. It's properly shoulder to shoulder....esp in winter when people are all inside. Unless you are unbelievably lucky or VERY loud no-one will notice you as an Aussie unless you happen to find yourself next to them!
Get a shot of your mug on the thread in OT and people will look out for you....that was how I ended up meeting a lot of the reprobates off here

Thanks, had no idea, thought it was just a quiet meet up spot. Will sort it out, already spoken to spiv so I'll go from there.

I shall be making an appearance again this week. Been in most games this season but not managed to say hello to anyone off here yet. Must do better. Is there a corner/area where everyone sits? I usually just stay out in either of the beer gardens.

Esky,
Anytime I've been there they are usually sitting in at the back. When you go in the main entrance, keep to the right of the bar and go straight ahead and they are in on the left. Mind you, I've only been there the couple of times but that's where they've been when I've been there. I'll be there hopefully around one. My name is Paul McGrath(Justlurkin) and you'll c a picture of me on the townley OT in the away jersey from two years ago.

In the blue room? Been in with Yffi a couple of times now and didn't spot anyone although I have only met a few people of here previously (King Kev, Lahad it think, Ronk, John68) . We stood in that corner last time we was in.

Short, skinny, shaved head, last years third kit shirt with SPIV on the back. Pint of ale in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

Aah, so that's what it's called. Apt name I suppose. This will be my first time over this season. Hopefully, not my last. Looking forward to it big time.
