Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

What the hell has happened to them? They used to follow their club in huge numbers and were always up for a bit of banter.
Today they failed to even sell out one tier, were kicking off left right & centre and basically behaved like a bunch of tossers.
Give me Sunderland fans any day.

Those are the sort of arseholes who will be expecting them to win the league this season, and calling for Pardew's head after a couple of defeats.

I'm assuming they sold all of their allocation though, since the attendance was a record 47,408

No, as mentioned above, they only sold their tickets for the lower tier. City fans were on the upper tier where the away fans usually go.

Probably the same reason that sees them averaging less than 90 percent for their league home games, despite their run of form before today.

So whens the cut off for deciding to allocate seats back to our fans then? it's been declared as a sellout for quite some time.

So what actually happened with the firecracker. Was at the other end, it was fucking loud, then it looked like the Newcastle fans were trying to break through the stewards.
Had problems with these cunts every time we played them home and away when I was younger. Nasty bunch of bastards as I am sure Goaters 103 will recall from the FA Cup game up there a few years ago

Can't say I blame them. You would be browned off your accent sounded like a mongoloid belching and vomitting. They had a nice little fantasy going and we just burst their bubble.

Sunderland fans seem to have been neutered in recent times, probably from having to put up with Steve Bruce Blames for the past couple of years.

Agreed John. This "oh what great fans they are" bollocks is one of the biggest myths in football. Some of the press and pundits who spout this shit should go up to Newcastle as an away fan, and experience how hospitable they are.
Bloody lost my hat in the pub as well!

I would like to think that we are reacting to some idiots (that all teams have following them) and placing a general label on them
I know I sometimes cringe at a bit of loutish behaviour from CITY fans when away (thankfully rare to see tbh)
I have a lot of friends that are geordies and would rate their loyalty akin to ours during the dark years - even at matches against them I have had a good time mixing with them - even as far back as the '76 final.
a look at their forums tends to back up the view that they are disgusted at the firecracker idiot - a typical post would be this:
u**** disgrace whoever threw that firework at the Man City fans, made me ashamed to be an NUFC fan. I'd love to rip the little clowns face off!
Man City are quality, especially at the back, shame we couldn't take our chances cos it could've been different but they didnt really seem to get out of 2nd gear.
Class staduim, good fans, hope they win the league!

Before the tickets even go on sale we will contact the other club and ask them how many seats they want, both tiers?, 1 tier?, half the btom tier? or 6 if your wigan or fulham. They will buy the allocation then think they can sell and then sell it on to the fans. So i think it is all sorted before they go on sale to either set of fans. Cup games is a percentage though i think wether they can sell them or not.

Maybe we have some say in it too - if we're expecting a high demand. There's probably some minimum allocation that we have to stick to but we might be able to tell them they can only have that minimum and no more.

By the way, they were singing 'We Still Get More Than You' - I have just checked, they don't!
Their average this season 46871
Our average this season 47029
Ha!

Don't mind Geordies at all, but they are not the uber loyal fans suggested. I remember them down to less than 15,000. But Sunderland fans? they are so fickle and the place is like Boro a couple of seasons....A rag knackers yard.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.
