Giving the squad 48 hours after the Liverpool game ends to prepare.
City & Liverpool are happy to move the league fixture but they won't be allowed to do so because it's due to be shown on TV!

Someone mentioned moving the Sunday TV game, but that was never going to happen. Monday night and Saturday lunch and teatime yes, but Super Sunday is sacred! Nothing to do with the money SKY make around the world from it of course.

Why are we not playing on Wednesday. Might be more to do with TV wanting to show certain games, such as us & Chelsea V L'pool. Maybe even want to put manure on TV with the mighty clash of Premier League & Championship !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I said when the draw was made; it's not worth worrying about this. We are in the middle of a run of games which could set us up to win the league & qualify for the next phase of the Chump.
Just put out a side consisting of whoever needs a game & see what happens.

Agreed Ted. After winning the FA cup the league cup does seem a bit of a come down. :)
Incidentally talk about paranoia... when I saw the article and the Liverpool headline I went ballistic thinking their plight had been highlighted before ours....
then I noticed the paper...
Maybe in another 40 years we'll be loved again?
Sighs...
