I think it depends who you are and what your character is like. Again, time to think disturbs some players and with penalties you do get time to think. An example. In all England's penalty shoot-outs you never once saw paul ince step forward to take one. Funny that. Self-styled hardman with bollocks like petits pois. What a wanker.

Dzeko seemed a bit weak in that department last season but he put that SIXTH goal away against the filth very nicely, thank you. And yesterday's. All good positive stuff.

Well that's true. High pressure penalties take balls.

However, the big difference between your average penalty situation and scoring from open play is the art of perfect positioning, which is the biggest factor for all poachers and is already laid out for you in a penalty.

I'd say there's good chance I could score against a top keeper from a penalty. I'd say there's little or no chance I'd score from open play in a premier league match!

I think there is tbh, providing you can kick a ball properly. The whole 'positioning' thing is a bit overrated. not saying it doesn't exist though. You could be in the box from a corner and the ball just falls to you nicely or someone could pass to you with an open net. Doesn't exactly take much skill. As others have said penalties can be very high pressure sitautions which require skill and compusure hence why so many are missed in high pressure situations. As for Dzeko or Balotelli or Aguerro, if one of your players is going for a low cross its fairly obvious you should put yourself near the six yard area.

ffs dzeko is a city player he will miss chances he will score chances he does put a shift in and he does hold the ball up for others, and it could be worse we could have paid 35 mil for andy carroll

I'm Bosnian and NO I don;t think that Dzeko is top world class. I agree he has his days. I also think that he can put some balls in the net which a lot of world class players can't. He can be bad or good. He's just a striker, he can't always score, people expect him to put every ball in the net which is impossible. People' don't understand that he is still adapting to the premier league and that it will take some time before he completely adapts. Fans need to be patient he can score, he has weaknesses and strengths...



He will improve and be the world class very soon.
