Yeah, but he has spent 3 trillion.
Cracking average, even for someone in his position. Those 3 points rather 1 for a draw are making all the difference.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

2pts per game is the magic figure, that is there or there abouts title winning consistency.
In terms of the 2.00 pts we have to bear in mind the first half season he was really learning about the prem and oppositions.
Last season we were struggling to return over 1.86 and only managed it right at the end of the season. So obviously now the results are boosting up his average. Will be interesting how it pans out at the end of the season.
Also would I be correct in thinking apart from Sven he is the only one in that list who had no experience of the English League?

I don't think Peter Reid had managed at all before taking charge at City?

Impressive average by Joe Mercer; and Tony Book, of course.
Although you need to do two separate list for top division, and lower divisions

PL 2.8 pts per game this season.
If he keeps that up we'll have the best season since Sky invented football.

I have sneeky feeling we will be revisiting this thread later in the season.
The Arse team in their famous season. 26 wins, 12 draws and 0 losses = 90pts = ppg 2.368
