if Crossan is right ill fuclin shit my pants. If this little cunt goes on strike to get his move to Barca ill have little respect for Hughes if he lets him go -- unless he pulls fucking Ribery in come Jan to compensate.

that being said, i think Crossan is full of shit.

Does anyone have footage of the injury to Robson so i can scrutinize whether i feel he really got hurt badly? i felt like last season he faked the severity of an injury when he missed a sitter. remember that?

Im hoping it's a case of misdirection by MH and Robi will actually play. If he's not playing because he wants out, then we should send him on loan to the Sheikh's Middle Eastern team and see how he likes the desert.

There's always the conspiracy theory. Robby injued for us, Ribery injured for them, are they saving themselves?

Are you talking about when he actually got hurt falling badly while trying to score his second against Arsenal?

i dont recall...but he was out for about a month so if that's the one then that's the one. And i remember others didn't feel the spill i am talking about was actually that bad. You remember it as a really bad fall? i remember thinking it looked kinda average.

i think Hughes interview on the OS should end Robinho injury speculation...at least it did for me. He also mentions that the player wont be leaving...in pretty strong terms. Hope that's the case.

And John...who he'd replace in the side is really unknown to me. I just know that he's a fantastic footballer who we have to see play with our current side. We've got a serious lack of creativity at times (see: Villa, Wigan) ...and he and Ireland have the potential together to wreck havoc on teams. I want to see that.

Disappointing news as i'd like to have all our strikers available at all times and pushing each other for the starting places, however like john68 said, the team haven't really missed him and the lads who have played have done really well. I'm not into the conspiracy theories myself but my bet is on that he will leave us in the summer, not January.

I think we have been lacking in a few departments with the absence of Robbie.
For all Craigs workrate and enthusisam his play lacks a few things.
I think Petrov is a fine player and should keep his place, and in the last game without Craig I dont think we would have done any better if he was playing whereas I think we might have won if Robson was playing.
At the moment Tevez isnt doing it for me and I would happily put him on the bench for Robson.
I suppose Robbie will be nowhere near match fit now with all this time of so putting him on the bench would be okay anyway so the question of him walking straight back into the team doesn't really arise.

Pretty Gutted really ... We havent been missing him because we've been winning (or scraping good draws!) but would like to see him more central cos you cant drop Bellers/Petrov, Ade is a stayer and Teves for his graft and ball play.

Sorry SWP at the moment I'd drop ya for tactical reasons... Stevie seems to be struggling (possible fitness after his virus??) looking something like this ahead of our usual back 4.

------ Barry -------- De Jong -----

-------------Robson -------------

Tevez ------------------------Bellers

-----------Ade -----------------

When Stevie's 100% again I dont know what we'd do! (can we not have 12 men?)

Nobody can deny that Robbie is a World class quality player and I for one enjoy watching his silky skills. My fear is whether the way he plays fits strategically with the way the team plays.
I am drawn back to the old Rodney marsh question. At the time, he was the most creative player I had ever seen in a City shirt and like thousands of others, would drool whenever he got the ball. Some of the individual stuff he did was of a different class.
It is now commonly agreed that he was detrimental to the way the team played and he is commonly accused of being the reason we failed to win the league in '72.
Then, as now, we were a team that used speed to get from one end of the pitch to the other. Marsh held the ball up and slowed that process down.
Though not as good, Tevez, Bellers and Petrov all use speed to move the game on.
