Game Off.

Sad day for English Sport, how are we going to hold an Olympics if we can't play a friendly football game..?? Should have gone ahead either with closed stadium or moved to Manchester. I know the game is pointless but the rioters have won

Agreed a very sad day. But I fear if the game was moved elsewhere these thugs might have moved along with it.The police need to be given some real power to deal with this

What would that be?

Well I'd hang 'em all. The rioters that is

Tweet from Wio - "England vs Holland game is off, good call. Who wants to see a game of football when our country is in turmoil." I presume from that the rags will decline to play their opening fixture this weekend?

Game had to be called off, as the Police have got enough to deal with, standing by watching people nick all the tellies from Currys and burning people out of their homes.

My inner Daily Mail reader is coming out again.

Wio you wanker the country is not in turmoil, its a bunch of wussy dickheads who dont dare show their faces, and want some H&M hoodys for free.

Start some fires, smash some windows, grab some free clothes and bargains.

I bet none of the rioters are over the age of 21.

The police should be able to warn once, then batter the shit and tazzer the balls off any cunt who stands in their way, they'd soon all run home, very very soon.

If this is what it takes to protect the police and give them more powers in the future, then it might just be worth it

I'm 32, I've never once been involved with the police. If you live your life right and stay out of trouble, no one else would either.

If you carry a gun and shoot at the police, you should be prepared to be shot back and killed.

It all goes back to personal responsibility, all these dickheads sit on their arses all day feeling sorry for themselves, playing Call of Duty, thinking they're well 'ard and don't have to answer to anyone.

I cant help thinking all the images of people looting high street shops is making these dickheads think, "I want abit of that free shit too", and they go in, basically having a laugh while doing it, realising no one is going to stop them.

Society operates at a level which relies on people complying with the law voluntarily. If they don't do that, you end up living in Taliban ruled Afghanistan. If they want that, they can just fuck off over there and see how it works out for them.

Pussies bastards.

I think they should invite them all to the O2 arena, lock them in and then bring out Jedward and Cher Lloyd for a 24 hour concert

That'll teach em

I have been living out in Ealing for the last three years and I have never seen anything like the carnage that those scumbags were allowed to cause lastnight. They basically just strolled around the Broadway smashing, petrol bombing and robbing anything that they wanted while the Police did absolutely nothing about it. They were trying to burn the Shopping Centre down FFS! If It was a bunch of football supporters they would have got their heads smashed in.

I awoke to find 4 burnt out cars all the shop windows smashed in and a load of apartments on fire and was anyone arrested hell no. The people who caused all the mayhem aren’t even from the area. a friend of mine witnessed them driving into the area calmly parking their cars and then putting balaclavas on. they ransacked the place and then just got back into their cars and drove home with the loot.

I persoinally blame the Police for leeting it get this far out of hand. They should have cracked some heads in and that would have helped to deter these scumbags!

Sadly, this has the whiff of MI5 infiltrators again. The only reason I can think of why the Police are dawdling on this at the mo ..... in other news ... The FA has said that all general admission tickets will be refunded in full and that it hopes to rearrange the game against the Dutch sometime next year.
Bernstein said: "We have received clear advice that due to the sporadic and widespread nature of the unrest there are significant concerns in relation to the available emergency service resource to safely police the fixture.
"In light of these concerns regarding policing and emergency service provision, the authorities have advised us that under the terms of our safety certificate we are unable to host the fixture or guarantee the safety of visiting supporters or the teams.
"For these reasons the game cannot go ahead.
"The FA wishes to make clear it is in complete agreement with the advice of the Metropolitan Police, the Government and Brent Council.
"The Dutch FA (KNVB) were informed of the decision prior to their scheduled departure from Holland, and we thank them for their co-operation and support."

The police could actually handle this if they were allowed to take the kind of action that other countrys police take...but no...we are soft arses and artn allowed to do anymore than " stop sir...you are not allowed to do that"....stand up Lookmum ET al.

The maximum sentenence for rioting is life in prison. Its bollox this nonsense this hang em high brigade are spouting that the police's hands are tied.It is only right if the police do something wrong same as the rioter's they should be punished.
If the dibble can't do their job now when they are better equiped than they have ever been calling of the footy is a small problem.
Rioting been happening for years, the police are to blame for all this mess in broken Britain.

Yep clearly the police's fault!! Definitely can't blame the thugs/criminals who are looting/wrecking and ruining other folks lives.

Very true mate although it must be considered that we employ the Police to, errrrrr, police. When criminals (and that's what they are, not some sort of soppy activists or rights marchers as you say Doug) commit crimes then we need someone to step-in and do the business, not watch from the sides in the comfort of a 50 yard cushion zone.

We all knew that this would come to a head eventually, I'm just glad the government and councillor's weren't on holiday and had some immediate intervention plan in place, otherwise this could have gone on for days.

And now I miss the game to boot. Load of soft fairy cunts if you ask me, who should've been slapped down at the first sight of any trouble; crim's and coppers.
