You know I'm just guessing, don't you? I've reconsidered and - if it's villa - it's definitely not 97 years. probably more like 70.

Did you know....
when a blue whale has sex it releases 400 gallons of sperm, and only 10% enters the female.
And you wonder why the sea is salty.....

HAHA!!
Brilliant mate!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Villa have been in the second tier comparitively recently, I think (late 80s/early 90s?). The longest-serving members of the top tier are ordered something like:
1. Arsenal 2. Everton 3. Liverpool 4. U*i**d 5. Spuds
Surprisingly, Soton occupied the 4th slot until their relegation a few seasons ago.

I clearly remember Villa in the 2nd and maybe even 3rd division in the 1970's but Everton are a good shout although I think the gooners have never been outta the top flight.

Burt,
Villa were definately in the third division in the 1970's ,I can remember them coming to Wrexham. And I agreee with you about Arsenal never being out of the top flight.

Didn't Villa come up through the divisions in the mid/late 70's & then win the top league almost immediately followed by the European cup, similar to Forest? What a pity the greed of the top clubs inventing the Premier league & the Champions league effectively destroyed the possibility of that ever happening again.
Everton & Arsenal are nailed on imo.
