I don't think this was the right game to play him in. He has been out for a long time and should have been kept on the bench until the Scunthorpe game.

Svensational, King Kev and david yearsley have imo already pointed out all the important things about his cameo. I agree with all of them

SHOCKING DECISION TO PLAY HIM IN A GAME LIKE THIS WITH THE SCORELINE AS IT WAS.

TEVEZ DIDNT BATHE HIMSELF IN GLORY EITHER TONIGHT BUT WAS MORE THREATENING THAN RSC.
I THINK RSC OFFERED ABSOLUTLY NOTHING THIS EVENING ...DIDNT HOLD THE BALL UP THAT WELL, GAVE THE BALL AWAY TIME AND AGAIN, NOWHERE NEAR FULL FITNESS LOOKING AT HIS PERFORMANCE TONIGHT.

BAD DECISION BUT WE GOT AWAY WITH IT.

I'm more concerned that in most of the games he's played, Tevez has given or the lost the ball too many times.

To ave a go at Crockie is piss poor form IMO. For fucles sake, he's not played for months. Give him a break for fucles sake!

Having said that. We had a lot of possession on Villa's manor and not many teams will do that this season. We're a work in progress and will certainly get better and better IMO.

I blame Hughes not RSC.

At the end of the day there’s no way he should have even been on the bench never mind the pitch, he was breathing heavily and labouring just walking on to the pitch.

For me his substitution probably cost us 3 points tonight Tevez was not having a great match but could have pulled something out of the hat, or just bring Petrov on and push Bellers up front.

Please tell me you meant to do that!

I don't think I have seen somebody contradict themselves within a sentence since the heady days of Andrew Davies.

Didn't look fit to me tonight but i'm sure once he's got a few games under his belt he will pick up his match fitness aswell as the sharpness infront of goal.

Firstly match threads are not proof of anything, people say all sorts in there they don't mean.

Secondly, Leslie out! :p

Was off the pace but he'll only get back to full fitness if he plays.

Hughes idea at 0-1 was for Petrov to come on and swing balls onto RSC and Ade's heads.

Then craig went and wrecked it by equilising!

I for one wasnt that please with the way RSC performed tonight but Im willing to take that on the chin and let it pass as hes obviously still not 100% fit and has played about 30mins of football this season. To come on in a game which was so high tempo away from home, must be difficult for him.

Who thinks differently?

Agree with you mate, i was going start the thread but thought someone might have done it (im not blind then) He pissed me off last week and despite me telling people he'll come good and score alot of headers, Hes the new samaras too me. Why do we always have someone who frustrates the fuck out of me?! Hes a girl, doesnt run, loses the ball. Waste of money IMO. He wasnt even being marked tonight cos he was so gash, No idea why we brought him on not petrov, id rather we found Ade with any form of cross than RSC.

Lescott also has alot to prove. I HOPE TOURES OK!!!!!

He clearly lacks match fitness and practice but tonight he just showed a poor touch pretty well every time. Quite a surprise but it will come I am sure.

And you're normally a beacon of knowledge...

I'll do what I did with Bellamy and take what I've seen of him in the prem under Hughes and wait and see how he does with us when fully fit and ready.

You could be wise to do the same thing.

That said, he's not there yet... a start against scunthorp and we should get glimpses.
