Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

One of the best nights of my life.
A hauntingly pathetic commentary on your life.

Forget the league, forget the previous empty stadia, forget the behind the scenes bollox. As a standalone game that was fucking special and anyone who watched it would have been gripped by the drama.
It won't make football much more popular but for today it was the biggest sporting event in the nation and I thoroughly enjoy it. I doubt anyone who sat through 120 minutes plus penalties would be able to disagree.

I bet you said just that after the Gillingham game, eh.
Congratulations, PBL & Dazby. Get pissed up and fall over.
I consider any comparison abhorrent and anyone who makes one to be a pathetic excuse for a plastic fan.
Why?
BTW, Tokyo, I'm not a Roar fan per se. I went for the spectacle. I went to all the finals games and was treated to some real quality. Slim's got his head too far up his Perth Glory arse to see it.
I despise the Perth Glory as much as any of them, but certainly the way they have cart before the horsed the entire league. 4,000 people sitting in a 50,000 seater sort of backs that up.
If you were treated to any quality it was probably all pinging from 30 yards that you mistakenly think is quality. Can't defend, no technical skill and this applies to the entire league. Any of these teams would struggle in League Two.
So what's yr point Slim ? Pack up the A League and convert all the clubs to AFL ??

Is that an option? Cause I could definitely get on board with something like that.

Brilliant final, had everything you could want.. I was going for Central Coast Mariners on fact they lost 2 previous finals and I love how they have been reinvigorated by graham arnold (never thought I would say that). Mustafa Amini and bernie ibsei look like they are going to be very very good players.
Felt sorry for Matt Ryan.. MOTM match in a losing side and then make him give a speech after they lost on penalties.
