Richard Keys is on TalkShite now, nearly blubbering about about how its 'unfair', 'they got it wrong' etc etc. Cringtastic listening which is transformed to another level by the fact he is grovelling to save his job ...

ooh, he's just brought the England captain into it, and called him a hypocrite by saying that 'can he really say that 'banter' such as this doesn't happen in the Man Utd dressing room'? Just after saying that football isn't inherently sexist.

He's talking more and more bollox and has just blamed Sky for not being able to apologise on air.

Hee hee, this is car-crash radio stuff of dreams. Now he's just said he has tried to contact Karren Brady, but she was not answering her phone to him or responding to texts. He sounds genuinly surprised by this.

Why would you think something that you are not prepared to state and back up ?

Are there not arguments on here every week that stem from someone stating their opinion and then trying to back it up ?

If some smug cunt tries to patronise someone on here, dont they get slammed for it ?

Personally i think if someone is arrogant, smug and prejudiced then they deserve everything they get, the truth is that anyone like that really needs to have a look at themselves and a good think and probably get out more.

Karen Brady/Sulivan/Gold who have taken the piss out of WHUFC Fans and the manager, with loopy plans to sign Beckham, Joe Cole again ! Have Martin O'Neil in before they sack Grant THEN DENY EVEN THOUGH O'neil said he was taking himself out the running. Transfer list the whole squad bar Parker, and according to West Ham leaks asked senior players to crank up the pressure on the manager to force him out only a rumour that Used the media to slaughter Zola. No sympathy for Karen she likes the enviroment knows the rules and calls Lord Sugar a pal, well he has as many enemies in bussiness as anyone any stick she gets is payback.

It was a "joke" that if he'd been working for any decent employer and had made it in front of someone from HR (or been reported to them) would have had him sacked or at the very least had him hauled seriously over the disciplinary coals.

They are a pair of cunts. It is a stitch up I completely agree but the pair of smug wankers deserve what they are getting.

He knows he's a goner, and so he's getting his side in before he gets canned.

I think Sky were hoping he'd quit, and he clearly isnt going to so the result will be he gets the push within the next 48 hours.

He's just rambling again what he's already said before now .... got to be the longest bit of shite on talkingshite ever

Listening to him now brings to mind when I GOT SACKED a few years back and at my appeal I was strongly advised to throw myself at the mercy of the MD and I did as equally cringeworthy job as Keyes has just done...................It did'nt work and how I wish that I had just told them to stick their job where the sun does not shine,I think Keyes is finished.

Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys uncertain over future

Keys has been at Sky for more than 18 years

Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys is unsure of his position after admitting he was wrong to make sexist comments about female referee Sian Massey.

"I have to ask myself whether I want to carry on," said Keys on talkSPORT.

Keys has already been disciplined and colleague Andy Gray was dismissed on Tuesday after further allegations of sexist behaviour came to light.

"We were wrong, it was wrong," added 53-year-old Keys, who said there were "dark forces at work".

Keys insisted that his main priority was not his own position but the career of Massey.

Before I get on with my life it is important that Sian Massey gets on with her career

Richard Keys
"It is an irrelevance what I am feeling, I am not the centre of the story," added the Sky presenter. "There is not anybody who has not made a mistake and how you deal with it is very important.

"I am trying to correct matters that have been exposed as wrong. But before I get on with my life it is important that Sian Massey gets on with her career.

"I hope this starts the process of recovery and everybody can step back and realise that we understand the magnitude of what happened."

And he added that he did not know whether he would be allowed to continue in his current role at Sky.

"There's a fire-storm raging out there," added Keys. "It is difficult to get across the way I am feeling and correct the misinformation that is flying about.

"It shouldn't have happened. It did, what can you do beyond that?

"We were having a bit of fun and we got it wrong. I have never had a problem saying sorry when I have been wrong.

"My mate has been sacked - the view of the majority is that he should have been. I have to consider all those things."

Gray was dismissed after the new footage, which was recorded in December but only came to light on Monday night, appears to show the pundit making a suggestive comment towards colleague Charlotte Jackson.

Gray issued an apology on Wednesday afternoon and added that he was devastated to have lost his job.

"I am very sorry that certain comments made by me have caused offence," said Gray.

"Such comments were made off-air to work colleagues, and were of course never intended to be broadcast.

"I was very upset when the comments were brought to my attention, and it was my intention to apologise on Monday night when I was back on air for the Bolton v Chelsea game.

"Sadly I was unable to do so as I was suspended from the show by Sky Sports and have now been sacked.

"Football is my life and I am devastated by losing the job that I love. I am equally upset that third parties have been dragged into this issue. I ask that the media respect their privacy so that they can continue in their roles.

"I have worked for Sky Sports loyally for over 20 years and I do not wish to comment further at this time."

The furore began on Saturday when Keys and Gray, believing their microphones were switched off, were recorded before the match between Wolves and Liverpool at Molineux making derogatory comments about Massey's ability to do her job.

Massey has found herself at the centre of a media storm
Speaking ahead of the Premier League fixture, Keys added: "Somebody better get down there and explain offside to her."

Gray quipped: "Women don't know the offside rule."

Keys revealed on Wednesday afternoon that he telephoned Massey during Sunday's match between Blackburn and West Brom to apologise for the comments.

"I rang on behalf of Andy and myself and made it an official apology," he added. "She accepted and we enjoyed some banter together. We left on good terms.

"I expressed my disappointment that Andy and I in having a little bit of fun got it wrong. I am sorry and it should not have happened."

The original incident also saw Keys and Gray discuss comments made by West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady in the Sun newspaper about the levels of sexism in football.

"See charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Yeah. Do me a favour love," stated Keys.

But Keys added on talkSPORT that he had unsuccessfully tried to contact Brady to apologise to her.

"I tried to ring Karren twice on Sunday night," added the 53-year-old. "There was no answer on Karren's phone and there is no answerphone on it. I texted her in case she did not know who was trying to call and asked her to ring me back.

"I tried to ring her to say sorry but she did not take my call."

The comments made by Keys and Gray was criticised by Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand, who described them as "pre-historic" on Twitter.

"He tweeted and said what we said was pre-historic - but are you saying it does not happen in the Manchester United dressing room?" added Keys. "My information is that it does."

Keys and Gray have been the face of Sky Sports' football coverage since the satellite broadcaster started showing English top-flight matches in 1992.

Soon after Gray was sacked, the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO) withdrew Massey from Tuesday's game at Crewe.
