Have we peaked already or can we get better? Robinho struggled when we didn't have space last year and he had to do too much on his own.

We might hit real form when he returns. I'm really looking forward to seeing him play again for us. If things are good now...

Right on the money mate!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

i adore robinho and think that he is a great player, imo he has to fit into the team somewhere. But he has to up his work rate alot. everyone in this team now doesnt half but a shift in and he should be no different. i was at the palace game and he didnt look interested.

ive always had the feeling that he just isnt a hughes type player as well. it'll certainly interesting to see what happens when he is fully fit.

Perhaps he's not actually as good as we were making him out to be and we've got the real deal in Bellers

14 goals last season, more than Bellamy has ever got in Premier League, would suggest you are wrong.

Nah, Bellamy scored 60 prem goals at least.

Robinho's from Favelas, right? I reckon he could deal with Bellamy's 9 iron.

It’s a squad game so Robinho will get his chance.

Personally I don’t think he likes life in the Premiership and will be off to Barcelona in January, I have heard it from a few people that a move could be on the cards, has gone on record with his desire to play one day for the Catalans.

Yaya Toure to City Robinho to Barcelona ?.

As things stand, I'd be inclined to bring Robinho in on the left, shift Bellamy onto the right and go with Ade and Tevez up front- if SWP is benched it should spark a reaction as he's been below par this season. Another option is to partner Robinho with Ade and play Tevez as a winger along with one of Petrov, Bellamy or SWP.

We have the luxury of choice, and whatever team Hughes puts out it'll be a strong one.

I like the thought of that Col...personally I think the reason we have not got the best out of Robbie is the fact of where he has been used for us so far in his City career...can't help thinking he would be more effective given a free role directly behind the striker and not on the left

Not sure about the free roll mate, he might have netted 14 times for us last season but the blokes a liability when he loses the ball, personally I think he is over rated, his work ethic is shite his tracking back is non existent, and he is useless playing away from home

tbh his injury is probably a god send because I don’t see a place in the side for him, we look much better balanced now with out him.

Robbie might get a game in the Carling Cup with our second string!! Lol

Seriously, i wouldn't drop anyone right now, no-one deserves to be dropped, the form shown by everyone has been excellant. Robbie will get his chance soon enough though, someone will get injured sooner or later.

Seems some people on here can't recognise genuine quality(Robson) and a flash in the pan (Craig).
Its great that he is having his flash in these few games when we need him but to be deluded into thinking he will be able to keep it up is not only a measure of the fickleness of some of our fans but a guage of their naivety.

I posted this team in another thread and I think it should be what we're looking at when everyone's fit.

-----------------------Given-----------------------

Zabbs------Toure--------Lescott---------Bridge

-------------De Jong-------Barry-----------------

Tevez--------------Robinho--------------Bellamy

----------------------Adebayor--------------------

I think that if Lesley stuck Robinho in the middle with those players around him he'd shine like the fuckin star that he is.
Imagine if you were a defender and saw that lineup. You'd be shitting yourself. The movement of those 4 front players would run defenders ragged whilst the workrate of Tevez and Barry added to DJ and Barry would give you another line of defence in front of the back 4. Totally unstoppable IMO.........(on paper)

The only downside of this side is that there are no academy products in it.
