Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Anyone know what Maine Road used echo to in his honour?
It'd be nice if he was watching and he could hear some personalised old school stuff from us at Leicester. Pardon my romanticism.
Or some good ideas for an original one?
Just thinkin...

There is no way a Bryan Adams song should ever find it's way to the terraces.
That's just a given.

Not quite a song, but the Club Twitter just retweeted someone saying that the fans will be doing the Poznan for the 24th minute tomorrow.

It was always a mystery to me that Alf Ramsay overlooked Neil Young for the England team at that time, as his silky skills and goals would have really enhanced the National side's performances.
Because of this, a few of us used to sing (to the tune of John Lennon's "Give peace a chance") "Mr Alf Ramsay, give Neil Young a chance".
On the theme of silky skills, I'll always remember Joe Mercer (before the 1969 Cup Final) describing big Neil as being "as smooth as silk". Even to this day, that description always seems most apt.

He was in the orginal 40 (?) but then omitted from the final squad. The sweetest left foot shot you could ever wish to see.

Perhaps after the 24th minute Posnan,
They could all repeat it as in the Rocky Horror PS.song, "Let's do the Posnan again!"
"Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs."

to Blue Moon
Neil Young
Mike saw you standing alone
With a glint in your eye
For the love of a goal!
Neil Young
Mike knew just what you were there for
He saw you shaping a shot for
Something you really could care for
Neil Young
Now you're no longer alone
Without a dream in you're heart
Without a love of you're own
