My view has been changed after a dicussion at length, the lad has another two years until he is expected to be at the peak of his career, if he can listen and learn off players around him like Vieira and Kolo Toure that have done it in the prem, if he can gain a little more spacial awareness and if he can start tracking back after pushing forward then he still has at least 8 years (injury depending) in the premier league. He still has a lot of potential and has time to develop, plus he is in a position where he can still play aged 30+.
I must apologise any earlier criticisms I have had (not only in this thread), these were based on how long he has been at the club, not on how long he has been in football. It is strange how much a view can change after speaking to someone REALLY in the know.
So, did this ITK tell you that Micah didn't say what was written?
What he said was that he wasnt privvy to any significantly sensitive information, he said the club are being very careful of late.
What he said was that Micah is loved by all staff and players and that he is not the sort to cause trouble, he expects Micah to be at the club for a long long time.
He also said that people there see Micah as being younger and more experienced than most other players of his ability in the prem and he still has a long way to go, but he reckons the general feeling is that Micah is a good lad who wants to play football, he reckons the experience round him will help.
When I pushed him for more info (if any clubs are in for him) he laughed and told me that even if he did know he wouldnt even tell his friends let alone someone he's only met a few times.

Fair enough mate and, if as you say Micah is the future of the club, who the hell allowed him, or his entourage, to let this go public?
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Approaching his best this season.
Some fans aren't big enough to admit they were wrong about the player. A lot have mouthed off about Toure, Richards & Lescott and they've all been proved wrong

Micah is big, strong and a local grown lad that came through the ranks. We can fill the team with continentals but you cannot overlook the value of having lads form the likes of Salford, Ashton u Lyne, Oldham, Hyde.
I say keep him at the club.

We need to get rid...have always said it and I stand by my opinion...weakest link at City...always has been...even when we were shit
The weakest link at City has and will always be the fans. Turned on Edghill, turned on Goater, turned on Dunne.
You have an agenda against Richards, dazby has an agenda against Milner, we get it, you don't like the players, now do the club and everyone else a favour and SHUT THE FUCK UP.
Of course...what Slim says goes...shit...opinions on an internet site...who would have thought it...fact is Slim...Richards is shit...that's not me hating the guy...i'm sure he's great on a personal level...has his own website and everything...this isn't personal...it's football and the guy can't play...Edghill was the same...Blue through and through and a great lad...but shite...no other way of putting it...if you don't like reading it then don't read the thread
World would be a better place...and in my opinion, you should SHUT THE FUCK UP....I doubt you ever thought...Nope, but your formatting is...yes it is...wouldn't know...so?...yes it is....four managers have come and gone who think he can, we should take your word for it though...Edhill was destroyed by the torrent of abuse he got, whatever player he was he didn't deserve that...good for him, that's not the point...10 years on and the abuse continues...If you could shut up for once you wouldn't have to "put it"...I thought this was about opinions and again, mine is that you should SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Moronic interview to give , but understandable when put into context of the examples set by his peers and friends , see Ireland Sturridge and probably the bigest blue of all Nedum , add to that the way some of our big name players have conducted themselves Ade Elano and Robiniho and it seems hes following an unwelcome precedent . What really annoys me about this is Micah's an academy product , one of the few at City who you would hope understands the fans and the club and has a real affinity for both . Fortunately Mancini seems nothing if not pragmatic and I very much doubt he will take any knee jerk reactions . As for Micah himself , hes come on leaps and bounds under Mancinis guidance and I like to see him continue to do that in a blue shirt .
