What do you reckon is going to happen here then? Abramovich has shown reluctance in recent years to spend big money on the squad and they have a fairly old team/players whose form is starting to dip. Not getting into the CL could raise some serious problems for them.

They looked like world beaters at the start of the season. Then we beat them and they've looked pretty mediocre ever since.
One win in their last nine games smacks of a confidence issue to me - but is it lack of self confidence or lack of confidence in Ancelotti?

I reckon the players are still unhappy about the wat Wilkins has been removed from the club?
Something major must of happened as since when he's been they've been virtually unbeatable.
And that Ramieres signing is terrible, he's utter wank.

I think we just might be seeing the beginnings of them completely falling from grace and ending up back where they were in the 90s ie. mid-table obscurity

Chelsea have got 3 games coming up which imo might define what is going to happen to them. KFC Blackburn at home next.. which they should stroll but will think they have won the league, then the crunchers, Bolton away followed by Birmingham away, two games that in any other season would be seen as tough opponents but not really in too much doubt.. a draw from one of them would be a disappointment. Now in the state they are in those two games are looking particularly nasty, so much so that a draw from one of them would seem a bit optimistic. I wouldn't right them off not to came back, but if they fail in those two games they are fucked, and i mean fucked. Likely to have been overtaken by Sunderland and possibly Bolton too. By that time there will be no way back for them and the very real spectre of a meltdown would start to take hold.
Thats 3 games folks.. and beating Blackburn won't give them anything to hold onto at all. Could be fun.

They have imploded since our nice little fella of manager talking them in to being "untouchable". May it not last long until the lot "is champions" if you know what I mean ;)

I looked at their games and thought it was a pity that they had such easy fixtures coming up. No way did i see them getting only one point out of Villa at home (the worst visiting team we've seen) and Wolves away.
So those next three are far from in the bag too I'd suggest.
Lovely.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

What an awful run of form?!! Something seriously wrong behind the scenes there! More than simply Wilkins leaving.

It's ironic that RA was one of the owners who has been fully behind and even encouraged the new UEFA rules coming in, because he doesn't want to fork out any more dough on Chelsea than he has too. The possibility of no CL income and an ageing team could mean big problems for them.

Will RA get his hand in his wallet and spend the £100+ million needed to bring them back up to speed AND can he find a manager he trusts to spend it?
Or else Liverpool

hee hee.. I didn't watch the game but maybe it says more about Liverpool than KFC Rovers. You may be right though they may give Chelsea a tough game now.
