Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Maybe Kompany should write an open letter .... or maybe he's got a bit of self respect.
I hate Arsenal. In fact I think they are worse than United these days in terms of the number of tossers in the team, the hypocracy, the whinging, the arogance, the pandering to the officials and the dirty snide way they play. They can pass and move and score great goals but everything else they do is shameful imo.
So glad I'm a City fan. (I'll accept the odd tosser in our club but hopefully we are careful about who we bring in - it's important to be proud of your players and I am of ours)

I tell you what I hate the most about Arsenal fans, is when they scream "HOOOOF" when a defender clears it, even if they are under pressure or deep in their area. Of course, when their own defence does it you don't hear a peep.

Has to be rescinded, he didn't do anything. He was moving backwards, his only movement was backwards. His only mistake was not going down in a heap, and I'm not unhappy that he made it.
Ref was a cock all game. We got instant cards for half nothing, they got warnings.

Would it be our first ever successful appeal if justice is done?

Am I right in thinking that if the referee didn't see it and doesn't include it in his report, then the FA can review video evidence of the incident and impose a ban?

Yes and no. Sky Sports ignored it, therefore it didn't happen. The only way to make it have happened would have been for Mancini to force them to show it by talking about it. The FA will do nothing, unless they're put in a position where they're forced to act due to the controversy.

Its a bit crap isn't it really. Posted something on another thread about the club needing to take the initiative and force the issue here with referees. We seem to be getting yellow cards for first fouls and not getting any telling off's or 'last chances' like players for other teams do. Its absurd that our playmaker can be injured and therefore unavailable for a very important game, and the player who comitted the foul didn't even get a booking, never mind a sending off. Yet Barry and Nige's yellow's v Arse were first offences as I recall. Robin Van Pershite gets away with throwing his elbow around and being a general knob without a whistle.
Yet, we go on and carry on putting in good performances and picking up points.

Haven't seen the replay, but even Wenger said the send offs were lame.

What a disgrace. The only card for the Arsenal cunts was the red on, that is it. I remember a dirty slide made by Koscielny at Tevez in the second half and the ref talked to him without even trying to give something, but for us... Barry - yellow card for a fault that was usual in a game (his first), Nige -yellow after a late foult, but without any intetion at Nasri or Fabregas if i recall and again the ref booked him even though it was his first foult of the game and most important, the Barry and Nige card were at the middle of the field, not in our 16 yard. I can bet that the rvp cunt cheeky elbow will be "forgotten" by the fa and so on. I'm starting to think if for the Scum game. Atkinson is available.

If we appeal and it's successful, justice will be done.
If not, Zaba (who played a cracking game last night) will have been totally have been screwed.
Only one man deserved to go and that was sagna.

An appeal has been lodged.
Manchester City defender appeals against red card.
Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta has submitted a claim for wrongful dismissal.
Zabaleta was shown a red card during City’s match against Arsenal on 5 January.
A Regulatory Commission will hear the claim on Friday 7 January.

I wonder if Arsenal will appeal Sagna's?
Bet he'd get off and Zabba get another two matches thrown on top.

Fuck me I knew this would happen!! They are going to laugh in our face just like last time.
But look at it this way, if Arsenal get it their way, they will look like fools for denying us.

I'd love to know what reason was given in the referee's report for Zab's red card.

Possibly walking and talking aggressively towards the Ref ?
