Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Who'd have thought it eh!
Blackburn have denied reports that they could be ready to make an audacious bid to land AC Milan's Ronaldinho in the transfer window.
Rovers' new owners Venky's claimed on their Facebook and Twitter accounts that they had offer the 30-year-old Brazil international a two-year deal.
But director Venkatesh Rao has moved to distance the Ewood Park outfit from making an improbable swoop for the two-time World Footballer of the Year.
Ronaldinho, who has six months left on his current San Siro contract, could be on the move in January after AC Milan admitted they would be prepared to sell if the price was right.
His agent and brother Roberto de Assis earlier claimed he had been contacted by Blackburn, while Brazilian side Gremio are also planning to hold talks with the talented playmaker.
Rao has vowed that Venky's will back manager Steve Kean with 'quality' signings this month, but insisted that Ronaldinho is unlikely to be spotted at Ewood Park in the coming days.
He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "That is not true. There is no interest at all, they are just rumours.
"We are still finalising possible signings but hopefully we can come out into the press and make things clearer in a week.
"Discussions are still going on and meetings are going on.
"Money is not the criteria at all though, we do not mind about the money.
"It is about getting the right players for Blackburn Rovers and we have enough money to do that.
"That is not a problem. We want to bring quality to Blackburn Rovers."
De Assis later revealed that a return to Brazil was the most likely destination for his brother, with Flamengo now emerging as favourites for Ronaldinho's signature.
"We all want him to come back to Brazil. There are several clubs interested in him and we can have a definition tomorrow," he told globoesporte.
"I never promised that Ronaldinho would move to Gremio. The possibility of a return exists, but it depends on a number of financial factors.[urlnp=http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_6631624,00.html]

Shocker!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

At least since that lot took over at Blackburn we're less likely to be the centre of the more lazy/cocaine-fuelled press speculation. "City in Shock Bid to Prize Open Stanley Matthews Coffin" type stuff
"You sir, will either be hung as a traitor or die of the pox"
"That sir, depends on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress"

He'd suit right in with the crisp, free-flowing football

gufaw!
I don't think anyone is too concerned unless he joins someone where he has quality all around him. He is mostly spent and won't be able to singlehandedly turn a game with the dross around him at Blackburn.

Sadly Ronnie is past it.
If they think he'll come to this league and make big contribution they are dead wrong.
If he's clever he'll trot back off to Brazil, bask in the weather and cruise through playing in one of the easiest leagues in the world.

Venky's don't have that sort of money...
Gotta be paper rubbish. They'll bankrupt themselves within a year throwing money like that around, the guardian had them at £150 million cash rich, the company as a whole apparently only made £29 million profit in total last season.
I'd imagine the shareholders of venkys will be very sceptical about dishing £20 million of that profit out on an ageing Brazilian!

they're not expecting to get him, but they are getting great publicity from it all, because the truth is no one outside of england really has heard of them. ronaldinho is still big news regardless of what he can and can't do on the pitch these days it's not a bad little PR move, though i really dislike everything their owners have done. looks like no manager will get any say in transfers at that club from now on. i do not agree with that.

ha ha i did not know that. yes they could do worse than sign him. i am surprised of the lack of professional footballers from that part of the world, given that so many have become westernised over the last few decades. i know cricket will always rule over there but why absolutely no footballers of note?
