Hughes says he'd've had to leave players out if we'd been playing Saturday, as they were shagged out.

Gonna kill streams that though mate. That was the good thing when other games on other channels as others would leave City streams alone. Now city streams will be bombed by non fans thus making them no doubt skip and jump.. Just good its on ESPN I guess for UK and US..
As for Ade I agree but at least this will be our last match without him :).

This is a CL week too.

At the moment we're far and away the biggest TV draw not already playing midweek European matches. ESPN are going to want to show us every chance they get when the CL teams aren't available for the Monday slot.

They know the potential of Monday soccer because of American Football (the Monday match is one of the biggest) but they also know that they can't sell it with Sunderland v Bolton &c (as Setanta were inclined to do).

With the big top4 clashes already cherry-picked in the more expensive sky packages they have a tough job getting interesting games. They could have had Portsmouth-Everton (not really though with Everton in action on Thursday), Blackburn-Villa (did Vila go out of the Europa Cup too late, besides we're playing them next week), Birmingham-Bolton, Sunderland-Wolves, Spurs-Burnley.
